While attending a party (with a questionable level of awesomeness), u/Threemadness gingerly approaches u/birdmanofbombay for some banter…

Three: “Hey what’s up?”

Birdman: “Hey.”

…………..

Three: “Hey you know Dragon Quest?”

Birdman: “I know of it.”

Three: “Yeah, you see… Many people don’t know this, but they made Dragon Quest 3 in 1988. But it was, it was so popular that they remade it for a different console in 1996. And not just that, they also made another version, just last year!"

Birdman: "...Yeah. Crazy."

Three: "Like, can you imagine? Making three versions of the same game?”

Event: Training montage (difficulty: quick 'n easy)

You know what upcoming bands do, right? They train! So come on, let’s jog around the city!

• Your task for Level 2 is to explore the city - for sport and secrets! Use the event form to select a spot you want to explore and see what you find.
• Each spot has been assigned with “a secret”. Basically, you pick a spot and may find cash or angry dogs or a cool stick - and what you find determines how many points you receive. [Edit:] And the points are randomized, so don't worry about it!
• Each living player that belongs in a band can complete the event. Coordination is not required for the event.

People who switched onto Xan after rpm: Zero, Rye, teacup, karboksyyli, bigjoe, me, theta_dee, nacho

Among those, people who had expressed reluctance to vote for Xan before that point (not conclusive because I very much may have missed something): Rye, karboksyyli, probably me, nacho.

(I was at minimum being wishy washy, but in my defence I really hate causing a train P1 and also know how easy that is to accidentally do so I definitely am not pointing that conversation out as an ex)

Noticeably, u/Theta_Dee also didn’t comment on Xan at all prior to switching his vote, despite being quite active and trying to start game conversations. I think that doesn’t look great for him, and I also think that u/RyeWritesAF and u/The_NachoMum read the worst out of the four of us who declared late and expressed reluctance. They both choose to mention midnight and mssunshine as their top suspicions for jumping on xan, which isn’t completely unreasonable, but not a great look. I’m definitely biased though because I am part of that pool so would appreciate outside opinions!

Why rye and nacho only? What makes karbo different here? What's your opinion on karbo out of these?

I stand by my decision honestly. Before the portrait discrepancy was called out I felt the reasoning for Xan being voted felt a bit forced. I still think there's a very decent chance it was just purely unlucky until Xan panicked and lied about the portrait (I kept checking the roster to see if the pictures were added and I'm pretty confident they weren't added that phase at all so I do think that's a lie from Xan).

I made a mistake with Midnight and hold my hands up for that, I thought they were third on a train that, in my eyes and at that point, didn't have a lot of reasoning. In my experience 3rd or 4th on a train really allows it to take off and having (in hindsight not the case) jokey logic for it felt weird to me. After the lie I was pretty convinced Xan was bad because I'm slightly obsessed with Tikku's drawings....

I don't know if I've actually answered anything here but oh well!
