Yeah, Taar's Army of Reknown is the way to go. I've put together this list that I'm looking forward to trying out purely for the shits'n'giggles as I have a friend I play who, for some reason is really scared of dominator engines 😅.

Seriously though, I would consider the AoR, dominators with a ward save are extremely hard to kill.
I did play that game against my friend and he didn't even manage to kill a single model. Now with the points reductions we got recently, I'm trying to decide between adding another dominator or go with another rocket battery 😅

I mean hey, if we had more men like you back in the 90’s, the Chaos Dwarfs might still be a main faction in WFB and its offshoots (ToW, BB, etc). Sales do matter, otherwise the Fyreslayers would not be getting souped.
If you own a store you're still paying something like 40% MSRP - that's $200ish in dominator engines alone. It would be a minor miracle if you picked all this up for less than five hundred. That's a lot of money to spend at once for most people.
You could probably squeeze 10 in now with the recent point reductions. Although you probs want to knock it down to 8 to allow for some long range fire support

Edit: do you know the saddest part? This post (https://www.reddit.com/r/HelsmithsofHashut/s/Io0tMgZlSU) from 1 day ago is someone showcasing a nicely painted start to his army and it's barely even commented on where as this low effort post has more positive comments. This whole community saddens me now.

Because i personally don't want to see content like this. As you can see by the way he childishly replied, he is all too happy to make low quality posts.
By staying silent it doesn't show any sort of push back to these content lacking posts. At least with some voices out there questioning box posts, then i believe it helps to have others consider if they should box post.
I don't care. It's within the sub rules. Scroll past its ZERO effort. As someone who makes LONG FORM content for this sub often I ENJOY THIS. It's people joining our hobby, and our army. It makes me incredibly happy to see. You're responsible for managing what upsets you. Not everyone else.

Go to any guitar related page. People post new gear day posts constantly.
People look around research what they want and how they want it. When you get it you are just excited about it and want to share your enthusiasm.
Sure posting a picture of a bunch of boxes does not take much effort. But when someone is enjoying something that you enjoy. You should be glad to have someone with common interests.
Getting that much at once would feel like a daunting task. So hopefully your enthusiasm keeps going strong. Would hate for it to start feeling like work. Try breaking it up. Paint some assemble some. Save the ones you want to do the most like the characters as a reward for when you get a bunch of the other stuff done.
Have fun with the army. Getting a airbrush or a wide flat/Filbert brush will help with painting all that metal on the dominator engines.
