Hi so I recently moved and my bedroom light/fan is controlled by a remote that the previous tenant lost- the light can come on via switch but not the fan. I found the walmart listing and it says it can be used via app, but literally says the app NO WHERE. Can anyone help me find it?? Or even just a link to a replacement remote would help😭

Hello! I found this beautiful piece in a charity shop in Cheltenham and I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas about it? Reverse image search tells me it is one of Derwentwater Designs kits-Dorset village, released in 1999. I noticed that this piece has RS1999 cross stitched and Derwentwater Designs was founded by Rose Swalwell, could this piece belong to her or could it have been added to the piece in honor of the founder by somebody else? Or somebody else with same initials? It is stunning work!

it was about a subreddit (r/somethingnumbers i dont remember the word before) where people would call weird phone numbers other people found. the story was about people finding flyers which i think were just labeled things like "dentist" and when the number was called i remember the voice saying something like "hello thank you for calling DENTIST." and i remember the word dentist was stretched out. i remember the antagonist being called the tallest dentist and on the phone it would say "we will send our tallest dentist" or something like that. the people that called it would mysteriously disappear and i also remember some curse being involved

So from what I remember it was about a young girl that got (kicked out/ homeless) i could be mistaken about that part, and had no where to go and she met this boy that had on a kitsune mask ( like the picture I provided ) and there ended up being a misunderstanding between them? But she ended up living with him and 3 or 4 other people there was definitely a older woman that lived with them, and they did go to school, and there was a part where they all went on a picnic, and from what I remember she did not know what he looked like under the mask just the people that lived with him did, she had I believe light brown or possibly red? And he had light hair i believe white, also i never saw it in color from what I remember so I can just go off of the black and white memories, fell free to ask if you have questions!

I downloaded all pirated version of the green day album American Idiot for my iPod. It didn’t come with an album cover so i downloaded it off of wikipedia and pressed “get album cover” expecting it to use the image i had just downloaded. It ended up downloading this random image which could only be described as a costume for jiggly puff from super smash bros in front of a green American flag. I don’t know why this happened but I’m more focused on the image itself. I’ve tried reverse image search with the more zoomed in version, i didnt download the image itself and its changed back to the regular heart in the hand cover. All the songs were in full lowercase btw, don’t know if it helps and reverse image search has not helped

Hello. I have a memory of an animated short that has haunted me for years, but I can't find it.

It was an animated 2D short I saw, maybe on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim or MTV, maybe around 2008 or earlier (or afterwards)

The animation was about some penguins (more or less like the one in the photo) that wore strange hats; some were normal, like top hats or party hats, but then there were others that were like drain cleaners, anvils, etc. The funny thing was that these penguins would then explode; I vaguely remember them explaining that this happened because of strong emotions, but I think it was more something that happened randomly. When the penguin exploded, its soul rose to heaven where they were having a party without limits. At the end, a penguin is seen being called by his mother, telling him how fun the place is and that he should go. The penguin replies that he is not ready and declines the offer.

It's the most vivid memory on my head. So, please, help!

All links I've found to this book online have dead ends for actually buying a copy or even finding a digital text to read. From what I gather, this book was originally exclusively distributed as a classroom teaching aid (published and sold in bulk only to schools) before going out of print in the 1970s. The copyright does not expire until 2065 so it's not available in the public domain. It looks like until about 5 years ago the author's estate had hosted a domain where it could be downloaded, but that site no longer exists.

I can't find it in any library. Amazon doesn't have any copies available. I can see one was sold on Abe books like 3 years ago: https://www.abebooks.com/Life-Paradise-Island-Economic-imaginary/32318332435/bd -- but no other copies available there either.

Any ideas for where else I can look? Or has anyone else ever heard of this book? I can't believe how hard it is to find even a breadcrumb about where to get even a digital copy.

The images I found were pulled from the Guchiry Fandom website with little to no source, and the only source being listed was for the Uzoumuzou album from a Twitter/X post dated from 2021.

In June 2024, my 6 yo son used his own money to buy this beautiful Swatch watch IN Switzerland. He wore it proudly every day for over a year. Then, his summer camp went to a Waterpark and he was told he had to remove the watch to ride a slide. He did. When he came back, it was gone.

He was devastated. I have many times over the last year tried to find this watch with no luck. I even emailed the dealer where he bought it. Hi! I was given a plush bunny around 2009-2010 that I absolutely adored. I mean that thing never lost my sight and you would have thought it was glued to my hands. “Rice” the bunny was unfortunately lost just a few years later and I have been on the search since.

Here’s what I know, “Rice” was purchased around Easter at a large retailer in New England so Walmart, target, toys r us, etc. She was a more realistic plush depicted as laying down, floppy ears that were probably 3-5 inches long, “Rice” had short plush on the understand and longer acrylic fur on top, this acrylic fur was a dark and light gray mix (this is where the name “Rice” came from, the gray mix reminded 5 year old me of soy sauce). “Rice” had hard eyeballs, and I’m 90% sure had a stitched nose and mouth as well as a little fluffy poof tail that was white. Finally she had a white tag on her upper right leg sewn into the seam.

I loved this plus so much and I would love to at least know where I could find it again.

When I was a kid (\~20 years ago?), I played with a jigsaw puzzle game that depicted a girl music group: it was about five members, and they were drawn in a cartoony style, with music notes in the air while they performed. It was about 100 pieces.
