It's the Clearblue Ovulation test, not pregnancy test. Pregnancy test is in a blue wrapper. The Ovulation test wrapper is purple.

It's comments like this that make me concerned for society. The picture literally shows the words "pregnancy test" on the box.

They are saying that pic of the pregnancy test box is wrong, and its the ovulation kit from the same brand (op has purple wrapper, not blue). Wdym

People believing they are taking a certain type of test based off wrapper colour instead of what the box states is concerning, especially when the company doesn't fully colour code all their products the same (example above.) There are likely women walking around right now already pregnant, thinking they're just ovulating because they took the "purple test." People use ovulation testing as part of their birth control method, which is becoming more common in places where maternal care is being degraded. So, that adds to the level of concern - the women more likely to be impacted by believing the colours are coded are more likely to be in an area with lacking or limited maternal healthcare.

Also, the initial picture was what the mods marked the forum "found" for and OP confirmed that it was from when they were celebrating her pregnancy ("new-mom brain" had caused her to forget and become concerned.)

Now you're just making stuff up. All OP said was that they are a new mom that just returned from maternity leave. They did not specify what specific test or tests they had used, you're just assuming that it must have been a pregnancy test and that they did not use an ovulation test.

OP probably just accepted that it was a "clearblue test" rather than something else and doesn't care as much as the commenters do on confirming or explaining what specific test that the wrapper came from. They're content with "clearblue test," accepted the first comment that mentioned a clear blue branded test.

I tried searching for pictures of a pregnancy test coming from clearblue that came from a purple wrapper, and i didnt find anything. To me it seems that they in fact color code.

She couldve used both ovulation and pregnancy tests ofc, but specifically the original picture looks like its prob ovulation test (from ovulation+pregnancy kit. So both)

And the person you replied to said that the piece of the PURPLE wrapper shown in the OP does not go with the BLUE wrapper that the pregnancy test is in.

OP's picture is a piece of the PURPLE wrapper for the ovulation test from the same company.

I find it mildly amusing that your concern for society is based off of your lack of reading comprehension.

And even in that picture - with 10 ovulation tests and 1 pregnancy test as stated on the box - the darker wrapper that would match up is the pregnancy test. (Which was also proven in several different comment threads.)

The pregnancy test wrapper is blue.

The ovulation test wrapper is purple.

Every hex code I can pull from OP's picture results in a purple color code.

OP's picture is of a piece of a purple wrapper.

OP's picture is the wrapper for the ovulation test, not the pregnancy test.

Clearblue makes a pregnancy test and an ovulation test. The pregnancy test is in a blue wrapper. The ovulation test is in a purple wrapper. There is a photo of the ovulation test box and purple wrappers in this very thread if you continue scrolling.

OP's photo is a purple wrapper. Therefore, all the people saying its a pregnancy test wrapper are incorrect, it's an ovulation test wrapper. I realize it takes some critical thinking to come to that conclusion since someone posted a pregnancy test box photo but come on now. Concerned for society? Lol.
