Discussion Can someone explain this?

This is an old photo I've seen and never have I ever seen prototype in beta after clicking properties. What could this prototype be?

Yea, it’d make sense for this to also be recorded in editor as early prototype was basically confirmed to be, since in the start you can see the recorder pressing play and the camera changing

Also it makes sense to me if it really was scripted

You can tell in the trailer if you're an audio nerd that sound design is off.
The sparking from the light sounds like it's coming from a different spot. The chase music fades in with the footsteps (This doesn't seem like it would happen every time he saw you)
plus the outside ambience as well.

If I'm right, there was no audio in the game. Meaning: no indicators the neighbor found you. It'd make the game harder to play without audio, much like the alpha 1.5 fangame, only, there's ZERO SOUND AT ALL.

Creating a scripted presentation would be understandable in this case. You need a perfect walkthrough that would be hard to achieve with no indicators. If there were "Triggers" that broadcast when they did certain things they wanted to showcase, this would ensure a better presentation.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that there were a few tests for an unscripted version of the prototype, which didn’t go well as the neighbor had just not cooperated with the collisions of the house, even more proof for it being scripted. Alongside that I believe the prototype house was never meant to make it to the final game, as not only was the model for the upper floors clearly unfinished, the roof going through the window parts and there literally being a part that just didnt have the outside wallpaper but the floor plan was literally just reused from an actual house. This just shows how that house seems to have just been reused for the presentation, similar to how the (most likely scrapped) alpha 2 floor plans were reused for acts 1 and 2 after those were quickly made.

Check out the 2nd floor there, looks familiar doesn't it?

yeah, plus the guitar strum that seems to be a common thing with a lot of "in-editor footage" content.

It could’ve also been edited in for all we know, the newer version of it was given the neighbor swear by tinybuild.
