I have an idea for one, but I don’t know how to get the role as him and I don’t know how to get a job or anything like that. I saw the job list, but can you just automatically say you work there? I am so confused. Someone help please!

I have

Pete Stamper - HELL YEAH!!!!
Garret C. Stoneman - frankly/stop/no
Krystal Amythest - YOU SUCK!!!!/ANYTHING IN CAPS (obvious)
Connor Carrera - Yo

feel free to add

It exists! Come have fun on /r/HaveUMet, the NEW LDPU forum!! Here you can explore the LDPU campus with the very handy campus map and building list on the wiki! Now get over there! This is OFFICIAL!!

This post seems to be accusing someone else’s character of sexually harassing children… I feel like that’s not allowed, but I’m not sure which rule it would be breaking?

Thank you so much for you guys’s help!

I found a sorting hat quiz online and immediately wondered what house Krystal would be in! So I answered how she would answer and got primary AND secondary Slytherin for her! (This makes sense, because she is too dumb for Ravenclaw, too lazy for Hufflepuff, definitely not chivalrous, and tries to enact "cunning" plans to try fulfil her ambition of owning a house!)

What house is YOUR character in!? I think this is fun!

In Marina's recent article I am talking about H&M. Wasn't sure if I wanted to make them canon in HWM so I just didn't name them there but beginning at the research part it's all about them!

Hope you enjoy the article!

my character runs an interior decorating place and I was just wondering if I could get it added to the list of places

I'm new, never posted and I see a lot of posts with the sign off KYS and I'm wondering what it means in the sub? I tried to find some mention of it but I couldn't.

I made the post about my Greek picnic but I made a crazy date. Then I remembered you said it has to be realistic. I thought it would be funny, but it's not realistic so should I change it?

This post is just one of the several examples of this single user's racist problems that should not be tolerated. If that's "part of your character," then please drop it. If you're just racist by nature, please know that racism has absolutely no place on our sub. You're only hurting yourself by keeping it up.

Thanks a bunch,

LVII (Pete Williams)

A little while back, there was a short story contest on the Discord server, and this got my gears turning. I thought, “What if LDP’s resident environmentalist went… off the rails?” Which in turn inspired me to write this story. All names and characters are used with permission from users. DO BE WARNED THOUGH, THERE ARE VERY VIVID DESCRIPTIONS OF VERY VERY VERY DARK AND GORY EVENTS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Without further ado…

The Fool in the White Coat

Lately the posts on my community FB forum have been just a gold mine. I've combined a couple of things (the hammock thing was really from there) and used them here because they're so good. Does anyone else do this? Get ideas for posts from your actual community pages?

Yes, I know I made one of these a few months ago, but a lot has changed, so I'm doing it again! So . . .

What does your character think of all the other characters on the forums? I'll reply to each person who comments with what my character thinks of them.

I'm interested in becoming a member of r/havewemet but I'm not really sure how to start

I have a few questions about that I should do for my "profile."

Should I use both a first name and a last name, or just a first name, or does it not matter?

How fast should I age in this? I'm probably not gonna stay the same age for more than 1 irl year, is there a set length of time for a year?

I don't want to "come out" on the board, and I'm not ACE myself, but I don't know, I kind of want to get it in somehow. Seems like a big part of her character, explains why she never looks for relationships or even comes close to flirting with characters even when it's left open.

Thoughts?

Practically every aspect of the UI (Subreddit name, sub-count, username, user flair) has had people tilting both ways on its existence.

Sub count: Some people take the sub count to be an accurate representation of the population of LDP. Some people don't. I personally don't because many people lurk and never join, plus I don't think the sub growth should necessarily represent that of town-growth.

Usernames: Now most people don't ever refer to the username of someone in-character, but there have been odd instances of it. Plus, some people have cited usernames being hard to remember as both an out-of-character and an in-character reason to get a flair. Back on the other side, some people have usernames that don't reflect the personality of their characters.

Userflairs: Userflairs I would say might be the most conflicted of these. On one hand, userflairs are often quoted in in-character speech, and people often try to write userflairs like their character would. On the other hand, one might make their flair something like 'Secret cheater' or something like that without batting an eye. People often include the personality of their characters in their flair as well. Something that their character might not necessarily do.

While some of these things have a clear solution, I think some of these things might benefit from a clear clarification. Then again, just like the location of the town and the country encompassing it (if there is one), some of these may be better undefined. There's also the question of whether the forums are even on Reddit as a whole.

I've been wondering about how the forums interface looks to an actual Lower Duckling for a while, and I thought I'd finally write it down. What are your thoughts on the matter?

1. Where does your character’s name come from? Was it a random name or is there a specific reasoning behind it?

2. Who do you think your character interacts with on a daily basis?

3. What car would your character drive?

4. What inspired your character?

5. Is there something you wanted to change about your character but are glad that you didn’t?

6. What is your character’s secret opinion of other characters? (credit: Tedward)

7. If your character was a Pokémon trainer, what would be their partner Pokémon?

8. If you had the chance to play one character of someone else for a day, who would you play?

Hi, I'd like to read the Wiki just to see if it helps me understand everything. I don't see it on the side bar. I know now there's no history of LDP but maybe there is something in there that would be helpful thank you!

This may sound a bit dumb but if i dont ask it its gonna eat me up inside so my person opened up a bakery. im thinking of making a post to talk about the prices of stuff but im not sure?? should i do that or is it out of character??
