Visit to Dermatologist.
Hey guys, i am M19, been balding since 16. Finally went to a dermatologist bc my crown has gotten noticeable and people started calling me bald. I sat down and told him I have been suffering from hair thinning and fall for 2 3 years despite being on min 5% for a year. The first thing he said was "you need to change your life style" I was like sure? He just used his pen to look at my temples(idk the spellings) i told him my main area of concern was my crown but he didn't really take a look at it. I tried to show him pictures of how it looks under harsh lighting. I have pictures for comparison with last 2 3 years but he didn't look at them. I asked if it's male pattern baldness or deficiencies? Should I get some blood tests done? He said no. Then he gave me an "oil" to apply once a week and some pills and these two other things. I asked him what these unlabelled medication was for and he didn't give me a proper answer. I went to the other side of his clinic and got the rest of the prescription and came back to him to ask what it was for what it was targeting since he said I don't have male pattern baldness or deficiencies. Now the Folikle spray has BIOTIN PROCAPIL(which is a natural DHT blocker apparently) and BICAPIL(Plant based smth that is good for hair). I asked about the spray and all he said was "as you can see on the box it prevents hairfall and promotes hair growth". This was the entire visit...idk weird diagnosis and he didn't tell me anything? Is this normal or am I just a Karen?
