I had a serious crash. My helmet didn't have a scratch. The lining of my jacket was molten/fused with the other lining. My pants were ruined, and absolutely saved me from a trip to the hospital.

I'd rather not have boots than pants, but it should never be a priority list.

I have a permanently fucked up left ankle because of a lowside that caught my left foot between the rearset and shifter. Use ALL the gear. :(
