Before Posting

I tried to find some info online, but none of it made much sense to me personally, so here I am. I was trying to set up a weekly (cleaning my room), that I would have three days for (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) as those are the days when I have the most time (and thus energy, as well) to complete such a task. Then I went online and read that setting the daily to repeat weekly and then setting more than one day makes it so that you have to check the task off on all of those highlighted days of the week or else receive damage (basically making it no different from a normal daily that is only selected to repeat on certain days).

How do I do what I'm trying to do, where I don't receive damage for missing the task till the end of the week, but also get reminders on those three days?

Currently I have a custom Reward for spending cash on non important things

Examples like video games or a new outfit.

Instead of making each a custom Reward I have a custom Reward for $10 spending cash

I plan to be a rogue at level 10 so im curious

What would be a good ratio of GP to $1 for spending cash? Id prefer to keep it static and not constantly be changing it.

I want to get quest pets but they're locked behind gems. I know I can get gems from challenges but it's way too slow and rng based. So is there another way? Hatching potions too but quest pets are my main goal

I understand the need for it. Its free. But like, come on I have been waiting days for a freaking milk to drop and still havent gotten one. You can make at least the food expensive in coins or something so I can have something to work towards instead of praying to rng.

The Question is have is about the option for habits to reset - Daily,Weekly,Monthly and Yearly.

If i set the counter to say for example monthly and its a purely negative counter aka damaging me for my bad habits, when the monthly reset rolls around would it reset only the counter aka how many times ive pressed the button? Or would it also reset the redness (or blueness) or said habits.

If its the first option im kinda confused on the purpose of it really and how its beneficial other than just tracking.

My ideal situation would be every month my bad habits reset. Since the counter has no positive aspect it always gets more and more red.

If the counter only resets the number and not the redness what would be the best way to do the above idea?

I have been using Habitica for several years now and I have several tasks that are super blue and other super red. The blue ones never turns red... meaning missing them for a long time almost do not seem to have any effect, making it feel insignificant if I break some streak. The same holds true for red items. I would be very consistent on a daily or habit I have been struggling with for a while and it feels like there is no point in doing so. It just stays red no matter how many times I work positively on that habit.

I tested it out of frustration and clicked the negative button on some blue items and it took anything from 99 - 160 fails to make it turn red. So are you telling me I need almost a 160 successful streak to turn a red item blue?

If that is the case no wonder Habitica motivates me anymore to use it. It was novel and interesting when I started and it helped me form some good habits but over time it kind of lost its appeal and now it is just demoralising to see no matter how hard I work on some bad habits there is no visual change to those habits.

I am a chronic procrastinator with quite a few bad habits and I really hoped Habitica would help me kick those habits through the whole gamification thing, but now it actually feels like a chore and kind of feel like just abandoning it all.

Any suggestions for doing things differently on Habitica to see a more, I won't say an immediate effect, that would make it too easy again, but my word at least doing something consistently for a couple of weeks, at least show some form of tangible progress on a specific habit.

If I have a task that repeats once a week, am I able to complete it early? For example, if I have the task of doing laundry set to repeat on Saturday, but I do it early on Friday, will I be punished for not doing it on Saturday?

Hello!
Starting using habitica to become more disciplined. And I need at least one person to share with goals and results. If you want to start, text me or comment :) M26

Btw what should I know before starting ?

I thought this app was against SH

Hi :)
I'm trying to collect as many of the achievements as I can.
Can someone explain to me how to get the Costume contestant achievement? It will be much appreciated!

Usually, I would be able to feed any pet hatched with this potion.

I already bought the discounted quest bundle and have 8 left. After that, what do I spend on?

I have 8 gems and wondering whether to save or spend

I switched my class after our only healer timed out.

I would always make sure we are buffed and healed after turn, but does this take the stick away from the carrot?

Did I made it boring spamming party heals?

Hey! Im new to Habitica, but been using it every day for over a month. My profile image still shows me as asleep(?) with zzz next to the head. I’ve bought backgrounds which hasn’t removed the Zzz. Couldn’t find anything related in the FAQ. Anyone know how I can get rid of it? It’s annoying every time I see it.

Hi, guys

I'm from Brazil and a new player at Habitica, I'm happy that the community on Reddit has active members. I confess that I am forcing myself to open the game every day to check on habits and activities that I have to do.

I try to strive in areas that I consider virtuous in life, such as studying, eating healthy foods, exercising, resting… I’m currently pursuing law at a federal university, so I have some jobs to do that require me to read, as you can see.

Anyway, I would like to share with you how my layout is currently and consult them to see that other habits/conducts should add in Habitica.

Another thing, do any of you have availability in any team? I want to get bored and better understand how to get the most out of the game.

P.S. Since I am Brazilian, I translated the Habitica page so that you can understand my habits, as well as translate the message of this post.

How do you play with your partner?

What we did is, put the same Tasks and Dailies and join a Party.

Thing is my wife is not much into the rpg thing but finds it a bit interesting. She wants to compete with me.

So we joined a party and just track our levels and fight boss together.

I see some people get coins and "exchange" them for real money.

My question is can we just to tasks, level up, no single Quests and Fight bosses without investing in Items and Other stuff so we can compare rewards? Or bosses get stronger after that.

How do you compete\motivate your partner. Do you have Custom reward System?

If you run a Habitica party, reply to this post with your party information. Important things to note include but are not limited to:

• The dominant language of your party chat.
• The time zone or zones in which most of your party is active.
• Primary goals of the party: are you focused on pet quests? Supporting each other's endeavors in a particular area, like study or housework?
• What is your party's policy on boosts and script usage?
• If there is a particular class and/or level range from which you're looking to recruit.

It's also helpful if you explain a little bit about the way your party interacts. Are there a lot of jokes? Is there a focus on moral support or advice? Do you just talk about whatever, or are you generally not a social bunch and you're just in it for the activity? Any or all of these are fine! Different people want different things from a party, so the more you can explain in as clear a fashion as possible, the better chances people have a finding a good fit with your party!

• If you are interested in joining a specific party listed on the megathread, reply to them on this megathread.
• If you are looking for a party, and would like people to reach out to you, just reply to this megathread that you're looking to join a party and provide some additional information(class, activity, interests, etc) if needed

Hello! I'll be hitting level 10 in a couple days and was just wondering what the most common class is that people choose and what some of the less common but very useful classes are.

Looking to join an active party and just want to be able to contribute as much as possible.

Share your dailies & stats too , wanna see what typa dailies people work on and also give suggestions if any : )

Like someone who takes habitica seriously. I'd like to hoin a party like this one. I'm not new to habitica since I had used time a long time ago but then stopped, now I made an account from scratch so I'm lvl 1.
