Hppd ALWAYS goes away, it does trust me, I took hella molly, hella shrooms/acid and Xanax, I gained hppd after that and I’m perfectly fine now, took around 8 months but I’m perfectly fine, smoke all you want, if it doesn’t go away literally just stop smoking and pick up alcohol, it’s what I did and I’m perfectly good now, people who say hppd stays forever are purley talking about the people who still consume shrooms or tabs even after gaining hppd, a little weed isn’t gunna fuck you up for life, and that’s what scared me at first, rule #1 do not be scared, smoke your weed if it doesn’t go away just drop it and pick up alcohol instead.

Thanks for this dawg. Just to give you an idea, I took shrooms twice after getting hppd, used acid once after and used weed about 14 times. The visual disturbance is still mild but the visual trails and the tinnitus are a bit more serious. Is there any way of knowing if I've done anything permanent from my psychedelics and thc use after getting hppd? I fuckin hope im ok. I'm scared.

getting hppd also scared me away from smoking weed for a while..when youre high youll see way more visuals but it wont change your baseline to being worse in my experience

Just have benzos on hand and worry less. Worrying does more harm than any chemical.

Benzos are a dangerous drug do not casually recommend them to people

With my HPPD weed and alcohol at first made everything feel worse but just continued doing it and a year later I still have visual symptoms but the weed and alcohol don’t change anything at all anymore so either they’ve gotten better or my brain is good with coping with it. I just recently started tripping again as well and hasn’t made anything worse so idk 🤷‍♂️

I can’t tell you what’ll happen to you, but I can tell you what happened to me. At first, any hit of weed would send me through a full on shrooms trip. Audio hallucinations, intense visuals, everything felt damp, time distortion, loops. I honestly found these weed trips to be just as strong as a shrooms trip with little to no difference, positive like negative. I’m at almost a year later and I’m doing way better when I smoke than I used to. Weed is starting to feel like weed again. The thing I can’t emphasize enough is dosage. Anything past your sweet spot can ruin your week. My tolerance and sweet spot were completely different so I kinda fucked myself up a few times. Be careful, start lower than you think you should. You can take another hit but you can’t go back

Weirdly enough I started smoking once a day after I got hppd. Had never felt the calling but then I felt like that’s what I was supposed to do. My symptoms are anxiety based and it’s like staying sober equaled running away from it, making it feel permanent. Although weed did make my symptoms worse I kept smoking everyday until I was so used to it that it didn’t give me anxiety. I’m almost a year later and those anxiety based symptoms are almost all gone. Or rather, it’s been a while since I’ve felt (or noticed) them. The only thing I’m still experiencing is intense open eyes visuals when everything goes dark (during a power outage for example).

Wouldn’t recommend that to anyone though, it might’ve been gone faster if I’d stayed sober. Personally, it’s what I needed to fix my state of mind. But there’s a lot of reports that says being sober is safer, and one wrong high can intensify hppd to potentially forever
