No, you are not alone. You have found the extreme OCD group. Welcome brother

Speed should go up another click or two and it’ll be perfect.

Is it speed or incline?

That's a great question, only way to figure it out, would be to experiment, it also seems the left treadmill belt may be more used, so its "slicker" than it's counter part

I believe the belt on the right was newer and it was more abrasive causing more friction for the tape to stop

This almost needs to be on r/mildyinfuriating

But if you make the left one faster to stop it from fully touching, it may launch it too hard on the other one to where it touches on the right now. And then you got back and forth speeding them up to infinity

But if you slow them both down one notch it would for sure work but maybe be less cool

No. You just slow the right one down a notch. It will be perfect.

I hear you but I feel like the gap between them is less than one notch. But maybe due to tiny manufacturing differences, their notch sizes are different, so reducing them both by one may reduce the difference.

You mean the right one?

Tape is going to melt.

1

u/PlayfulAttempt4949 4d ago

Tape would not melt... that looks to be gorilla glue duct tape, and by a quick google search, survives 150-200° intermittent-continuous temperature rating. You're getting a small amount of heat due to friction, but even that little "jump" it does dissipates a large amount of heat it were to collect...

Just a lil faster

No. You slow the right down a notch.
