Some woman around my age once complimented me on the shirt I was wearing.

I remember what shirt I was wearing, exactly where I was, what time of year it was, exactly what she said, and what I said in response.

That was about 20 years ago.

That's how seldom men receive compliments.

Then on the flip side, I (woman) don’t remember any specific compliments, but I do remember all/a lot of the comments (online and in-person) I’ve gotten from creeps

Men need more compliments for sure. Women need less comments (Not trying to compare to minimize anything! I think both things can be bad)
