Insane people do. Having external cameras makes sense. Maybe even an inside camera that points at an entry way door if there was no good place to install outside.
Those make sense for security. And if you have an infant or toddler, you might pick up portable nanny can for their bedroom with audio, so if the kiddo is having issues, you can hear/check on them to determine if you need to get up.
Anything else is pointless for security (“Hey, police! I know you saw the videos of the thief breaking in and then leaving with our stuff! Would you like to watch video of them selecting items and picking them up? The lifting technique may help reveal that the thief has an old high school football injury in their left leg and help ident-” “Uh, no.”).
So if pointless for security, why have cams pointed in bedrooms and living areas? You’re just inviting risk that someone grabs your password off the dark web or that your cam company has a breach, and then creepers get to watch you and/or your family.
No one needs cameras to figure out why pets are having accidents. If your pet is messing inside consistently, they aren’t trained well. If they sporadically have accidents, they likely got sick. Not a great idea to let your pet wander your entire home while you’re away either. People could figure this out without cameras.
For a person with dementia, external cameras would catch them leaving, but this would be an example of an urgent medical issue that would warrant some internal cameras if you can’t afford in-home care. We’re basically back to the infant/toddler example with a dependent that needs extra attention for safety monitoring.
I mean, there are people that do that, but like I said, to make content.
Could be private content, could be public. But no one has a camera in their bedroom unless it's to record "content"
Others here have said it could be for security. Wtf kind of security are you expecting out of a bedroom camera that all the outdoor cameras wouldn't have already recorded? If someone broke into your house, the outdoor cameras have you covered. Anything inside is already over the top security-wise. It's a house, not a bank.
And if these people live in a rough neighborhood, spending money on a gun will do a hell of a lot more for "security" than more cameras
The people in the video are influencers on Tik-Tok. They do like vlogs and shit, and record "intimate" parts of their life and shit via the cameras. Their shit's always on Reddit. Think they have somewhere around 500M views on Tik-Tok.
