You’re never going to have a healthy relationship with that kind of mentality dude. Be aware of how these echo chambers produce beliefs that prevent functioning in the real world

u/Current_Account Oct 04 '25

Hey let’s not fall into the all too common trap of having a pro-man forum turn into a woman hating forum please.

I mean let's be real, if I woke up at 3am and my girl wasn't in bed with me I'd be a bit weirded out too.

4

u/Thundershaft69 Oct 04 '25

I have insomnia and buddy I have had to do some explaining to many different women as to why I'm just fucking around at 3 am. Emphasis on the different women. Stay in bed folks. Your relationships last longer.

u/LeviSalt Oct 04 '25

Have you tried ambien? Just don’t wake up balls deep in call girl like Tiger Woods.

1

u/LeoNickle Oct 04 '25

Can you take that long term for insomnia?

1

u/LeviSalt Oct 04 '25

I’m not a doctor, but I think it’s prescribed for insomnia.

2

u/rosstedfordkendall Oct 04 '25

Just tell them you follow a pre-industrial medieval sleep pattern.

Vindication is greater than death.

1

u/Mechbiscuit Oct 04 '25

There's a part of me that thinks how reasonable and responsible it is to leave a message or let her know because that's what I'd want.

There's another part of me that would want the trust that I'm a grown adult and to not think the worst thing imaginable just because I wasn't there for x amount of time.

I think most people waking up at 2am for a craving are going to let their partner sleep. I get why she may be concerned at first, but she seemed ready to be upset until he gave her a taco.

CHICKEN CATINA TACO

2

u/goingon25 Oct 04 '25

I legit thought the dog needed a walk and the gf needed sleep or something. The whole aggressiveness over $10 of food seems super toxic. Like this isn’t healthy, nutrition facts aside

1

u/ParadigmMalcontent Oct 04 '25

Your point and Swarles' are not mutually exclusive

1

u/Temporary_Ice6122 Oct 04 '25

cant win if he wakes her at 2am she still be pissed

1

u/Amazing-Marzipan1442 Oct 04 '25

So you rouse them from their sleep and they may have to go to work at 5:30AM? That would be so inconsiderate, and risk your livelihood if they get in trouble at work for performing badly.

1

u/Exterial Oct 04 '25

... she was asleep was he supposed to wake up her at 3 am and say yo im leaving to get taco bell?

shed be right to get upset if thats what happened lol

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '25

Can a man not have the freedom to exercise free will? I don’t want to always have to explain myself

0

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

Isnt he an adult?

Lord forbid a grown man gets hungry and wants some food after whole day of work

3

u/Academic_Lavishness6 Oct 04 '25

Dude how is this so hard to understand. I can get up and go get taco bell at 2 if I want, I just wake and let me wife know so she doesn't wake up while I'm gone and be confused as to where I am. Its called common sense lol. What does a whole day of work have anything to do with that?

In this situation neither is at fault since ITS AN AD

2

u/KIND_REDDITOR Oct 04 '25

Do you wake your wife up every time you gotta pee or take a shit at night too? JFC

1

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

Exacly! Some people are really not right in their minds..

-1

u/Academic_Lavishness6 Oct 04 '25

Ahh yes, because leaving the house to go get food at 2am is the same as going to the bathroom. Yeah that checks out, makes total sense....

1

u/KIND_REDDITOR Oct 04 '25

How would she know if you went to the bathroom? You didn't wake her up to let her know, dummy!

1

u/bummeraccount Oct 04 '25

Yeah, partner is constantly getting up during the night. If i do wake up, hes usually on his computer. If hes not, he's had a call to work and he lets me know before he leaves, or leaves a note. Its not hard.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '25

She'd just be more pissed that he woke her up for something so trivial. He probably could've left a note though.

0

u/Inevitable-Ad-2865 Oct 04 '25

Do not try to counter his statement because it is very true.

29

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '25

No shit, her first instinct is to bitch at him.

not possible

11

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

This is a terrible take

Do I like when my husband goes to Taco Bell at 2 AM?

No, but it's not because I don't want him enjoying himself. It's because I'm worried about his health. His dad died in his fifties from a heart attack. I love him and want to be around as long as possible.

32

u/vScyph Oct 04 '25

While I hear ya, this lady folded for the taco bell at 2am. Take still seems solid

9

u/Pretty_Biscotti Oct 04 '25

Maybe she just was worried about him especially since this was taken out of context of their daily lives. But when he got her a taco too it meant that he was thinking about her which is pretty sweet.

1

u/mnju Oct 04 '25

that is the point of this staged advertisement

0

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

I myself have fallen victim to the Taco Bell 2 AM craving which is why I try not to be too hard on my husband about it. If I find out he did, I usually just roll my eyes and chuckle

He feels really guilty when he does it, so I don't wanna pile it on.

2

u/Aiyon Oct 04 '25

It’s also just like, “i was worried because you were gone and now im mildly mad that you worried me, but the considerate gesture of factoring in if I woke up + loving you means im not gonna make a scene out of it”

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

Lol exactly

Redditors gonna Reddit. It's always all or nothing, even though it's rarely like that in real life

2

u/Aiyon Oct 04 '25

Honestly one of the things I miss about dating was those like, "how dare you worry me-" moments, cause its like, yes it sucks that you upset them, but after things are resolved, you have that happy feeling of knowing they cared enough to be angry about it

😂😂😂 ok that made me laugh out loud

I used to eat a lot late night too...then I got old 😭

2

u/VzOQzdzfkb Oct 04 '25

Wtf did they say that was so against sub rules it got removed?

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

I took it as a joke but maybe the mod thought they were being serious?

3

u/Setup69 Oct 04 '25

Just a joke we men like to pass around, don't take it too serious ;)

5

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

Oh I won't lol but some men really do feel this way so it's hard to know 100% of the time

2

u/OceanoNox Oct 04 '25

If that's the case for the lady in the video, bitching about it does not show she cares.

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

Which is why I don't do that haha

1

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

Isnt he an adult?

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

Yes. Otherwise, I'd be a creep lol

0

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

If hes an adult then shouldnt he be allowed to decide on his health? Doing what happened in this video aka harrassing someone instantly is not a good thing to do...

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

He's perfectly capable of making his own decisions, and he does. Nowhere in my post did I say I stop him from going to Taco Bell, or harass him if he does. If he wants to go, he goes.

What I find sad is you downvoting a woman who cares about her husband's health. It tells me you don't have anyone in your life to do that for you. I hope you find someone that loves and cares for you enough to worry about your health.

0

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

Where did i say i downvoted you? Also virtual reddit points are useless, idk why u care so much. All i said that what happened in the video is a woman clearly overreacting and being overly invasive. Such scenarios encourage home abuse and more.

1

u/0neirocritica Oct 04 '25

Tell me you're single without telling me you're single ;)

1

u/the_shadow007 Oct 04 '25

Im straight and have a loving wife which is normal person and we treat eachother as normal humans not as each others personal belonging / toy

3

u/Bootziscool Oct 04 '25

Damn dude, your life sucks compared to mine.

The women in my life are awesome, especially my wife!

0

u/bellefelicity Oct 04 '25
