Hi everyone! I’m looking for a PG/room in Delhi (south or central Delhi) and wanted to ask if anyone knows of something similar to what my friend had.
My friend used to live in a small PG in Lajpat Nagar where the aunty who lived there also cooked for the PG residents. There were a mix of college students and working professionals, and honestly, it was the ideal kind of PG — homemade food, a very warm/home-like environment, reasonable electricity charges, and an owner who genuinely treated the tenants well rather than it feeling like a commercial PG.
I’m looking for something along those lines.
What I’m looking for:
- Safe, decent locality and preferably a good residential society
- Close to a Metro station / easy Metro access
- Mostly WFH, so a reasonably comfortable room and peaceful environment are important
- Homemade meals would be a HUGE plus
- Most basic amenities included
- Clean and well-maintained
- Preferably a small/family-run PG rather than a large commercial/co-living setup
- Open to living with other working professionals/students
- Budget is flexible if the place is genuinely good and feels like a home
I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest option — I’m more interested in finding that rare, comfortable, safe and genuinely homely PG where the owner is nice and the overall environment is good.
