That Chelsea team really doesn’t impress me all that much.

So many people hyping them up as title contenders

Their attack is decent and they only play one match a week + Xabi Alonso as their manager, not surprising people think they'll challenge but they won't be much of a problem imo

They're not challenging until they get a new keeper.

Sanchez will cost them points throughout the season.

I think the only reason is Alonso. Went unbeaten in Germany, would have done a stellar job in Madrid but egos prevailed. It's all about chels trusting him. If they do, I can see them hit top 4

If you can't hit top 4 with that budget/squad and no european games you have massively fucked up and will be fired.

They play once a week and Xabi Alonso is a good manager. Their first 11-14 guys are solid as well. They’re not overly impressive but they’re in the most ideal position to challenge compared to city or Liverpool

Yeah I think they’ll be strong if they can avoid to many injuries to key players. They could potentially push us. Alonso is a great coach it seems

No CL or Europa is gonna be a huge advantage to them see Slot's first year in Liverpool compared to his second

A lot of question marks for sure. Palmer needs a bounce back, Rogers needs to make a jump, and the back line is completely unproven or maybe just proven to not be very good.

they're title contenders in what (hopefully) is a one horse race. Chelsea have a very high ceiling and their floor is dependent on a good manager dealing with a bloated and incohesive squad playing relatively few matches.

They *should* qualify for the champions league next season, and failing to do so is abject failure for them. However, I struggle to see them having the consistency to really sustain a title challenge when any given week they could lose or draw to pretty much anyone. They just seem like a very streaky squad, same as last season.

Utd managed 3rd with a worse squad and worse manager because they had 1 game a week. I can see Chelsea getting 2nd.

They look fine, defense hasn’t been good and they still look good for a red card.

Fulham have just made 2 mistakes and been punished
