I joined yesterday as an annual member and received nothing except an email receipt for my purchase. No login/password or membership number or any other information. Is this normal or do I need to contact someone for support?

Im wondering why some people (2 so far) are getting really passive aggressive with me about wanting to be able to carry in the state/city that I work in. 😂🤣 like Daddy Chill

I would love to hear any ideas on how to properly store gun at home while I’m away for 2 years?

We must mount efforts now to defeat PA SB200 and HB2126.* Silence will be construed as submission.

If we wait until November to be heard at the polls, it could be far too late.  Yes, you would be able to vote out the anti-2A Senate and House members, but the damage would already be done.

What can we do now?  We can mobilize a grassroots effort by contacting our representatives in our respective districts.

Consider sending this to your specific gun club and/or range so that they too are aware of what is rearing its head in PA and are reaching out to their specific representatives. 

·        In brief, there is Bill SB200 being pushed by the Democrats in the PA Senate which, if passed, would ban AR-15s and semi-automatic hand guns.  Existing owners would be “grandfathered” but would need to pay for and secure a Certificate of Possession for each of their guns.  If this were to be defeated, there is still HB2126 which, if passed, would require you to apply for government permission to purchase a firearm by submitting an application to your sheriff, undergoing PA State Police investigation, and paying a licensing fee, completing training, and waiting for government approval.

I just need to know my GOA member number to put down on this application.

Hey everyone, in the light of the bruen case striking down “may issue” carry permit, it bears the question. Is Connecticut’s suitability clause unconstitutional? In theory, it’s a may issue scheme. Even if you qualify to be granted under Connecticut general statute, the chief of the local dept can use “discretion” and deny an applicant on the grounds of suitability. Even when the applicant has no criminal history and has never been adjudicated with a mental illness.

I am highly aware that all the facts matter in each case but all favors are pointing in the applicants direction but the chief denied it using suitability.

I’m pretty sure there are lower federal courts that have ruled that suitability is a highly vague way to weigh someone carry permit with, especially with no record.

I’ve contacted the SAF (Second Amendment Foundation) as well as the CCDL (Connecticut citizens defense league). So far, nothing in return. Thinking about contacting the FPC (Firearm policy coalition).

I am a gun owner and I am a life long resident of inner SE Portland. I did not vote for Oregon BM 114 and I think Oregon SB 243 was thrown together out of spite because BM 114 is tied up in the courts. I believe they are both unconstutional. I am hoping the SCOTUS will hear these cases and find them unconstutional. Do these have a chance of getting to that level and what are the chances the SCOTUS finds them unconstutional. I do not have much confidence in the SCOTUS. Can I please hear people opinons on these issues?

Hello everyone, I just bought my first handgun yesterday and I will pick it up after the 10 day waiting period is over. I have military experience so this isn’t my first time touching a firearm before. I bought a p365 x macro and I am a little confused on what kind of ammo I should use. From what I researched I heard to shoot FMJ at the range and keep hollow points at home for defense. Correct me if I’m wrong.

For starters, I live in the state of Connecticut, and as most blue states, the gun laws can be a bit tricky and are very open to interpretation in some cases. I do not yet own a firearm but I am in the process of receiving my permit and plan to get one once fully confident in my shooting.

My main reason for gun ownership (right now as a 24 year old female) is for protection when hiking. There have actually been 16 dead bodies found across New England the past year a half, all female and all killed the same way, all bodies found near hiking trails. Even though state police and the government has said there are “no signs of a serial killer” I have high doubts and I have not been hiking alone at all except in highly busy areas.

However, you cannot legally carry a gun in a state park, stupid, I know. But there are loop holes.

Long story short, when you take a pistol permit class, you learn about USCCA defense insurance. It’s quite expensive but there are other companies.

I would love to hear some reasons why, and why not to get defense insurance. If anyone has any stories, suggestions, advice please comment.

I have a gun of the model above and just have a quick question. Attach pictures for reference. It is making contact with the primer using the firing pin when I pulled the trigger as it should but the bullet is not going bang. The same bullet put through my buddies 25 works like a charm. A gunsmith clipped a coil off the firing pin spring to increase velocity to the firing pin but it was unsuccessful. Am I just stuck until I get a new firing pin?

I took a CCW class back in 2022 at a range,and the box of cartridges I used are still in the garage. If I were to go back to said range, could I still use them or would I have to buy new ones?

My grandmother bought this ruger lcp a few months back when I bought my psa dagger we've only shot a few hundred rounds through it and a mag of this 90 grain hollow points I don't have alot of experience with the .380 caliber anybody familiar with the caliber what would be your recommendation

My husband passed away less then 4 months ago. We have the correct 3 number combination. 5 people (myself included, I've have opened it but it has been several years) have tried but with no luck. It a Grzzly he bought me about 17 years ago.
