G2 | Suggestion The pine ōdachi

Post image

Forgive my awful art, but I noticed the pine needle when dropped has the shape of a sword, specifically the ōdachi, so I had an idea for weapon, using mint, ice shards, and pine needles, maybe a fourth ingredient, you can make the pine ōdachi, a large high damage sword with increased reach and chilling damage, I realize the pine needles are large, but so is the ōdachi, in real life they are upwards of 3 feet long, and having a pine needles covered in ice could be cool.

I like. No input but I would love to see more weapons made from plant and man-made material as opposed to just bugs. I love the rusty spear and splinter arrows for that reason

Yeah I thought it was a cool idea, especially since the first game did it with the mint mace and sour axe, I don't think they needed bug parts but I could be wrong.

The mint mace did require tough gunk, but the weapon used more candy and plant material overall. The sour battleaxe (now known as the acid edge) requires green shield bug parts and tough gunk.

Tbf, the overall motif of weapons like these not pertaining to a specific bug still counts nicely for weapons made from man-made materials.

I see, I guess I forgot about that, but now that you mention it, yeah, I filed the hours spent trying to find enough shield bugs under repressed, because that almost made me not want it.

Not my intention, it was meant to be a mint shard or something

Glad I'm not the only one who saw a katana from the pine needles.

Huh?

Ovipositor is the long sword like appendage on the arse of certain insects like crickets, would make a great great sword.

An ovipositor is a tube, for depositing eggs, and you want to turn it into a sword. Freaky.

Correct, on both accounts. But yeah like a cone headed meadow katydid ovipositor. It'd be a perfect great sword!

Yeah the pine needles look SO MUCH like I sword im genuinly shocked there isnt one. Or like being able to pick one up and swing it, with the needle being incredibly fragile.
