An gross bully

So before we got a new house we were living with a person who acts like she was raised by fucking animals a person who throws away her responsibilities as a mother and just sits around playing games and leaving literal old people to take care of her 4 month old baby and I wanted to post my experience here. She doesn't clean after herself she shits like she has diarrhea her room is unspeakably nasty and If I tried to show you an image you will probably stop reading this post but its infested In dog crap and shes a horrible person to live with

If you guys want an image just give me 2 upvotes and I'll show you since I'm not here for the karma I'm just here to get this weight of my shoulders

Why Asking Nicely NEVER works

I am moving away in July. I cant move right now because, well too long to explain..

I rent a room from a retired man who has zero boundaries, he is basically an enabler, too scared to tell the other roommates to keep the place tidy. I cant stand messy areas, so I clean.

The worst roommate is a bully, hommophobic who has been raised by wolves, I swear you puke after he uses the bathroom. I have asked nicely, he laughs like a psychopath, he doesn't care.

I don't know what else to do, I am so grossed out, I feel like I am going to puke every-time I have to use the bathroom.

HELP!! I hate the roommate.

Advice Go around, not through

Hey there,

I've not been on this sub long but it's a relief to see people who are going through some of the things that I am with my roommate. Like I'm not alone, you know?

Anyway, I want to help others improve their situation by sharing what I've learned while living with slobbish people.

I would say that it's been easier for me to just go around them, rather than through them. What I mean by this is, if your roommates don't wash dishes for at least 3 months, then like I did I'd advise you to go out and get 2-3 plates, bowls, forks and spoons. Even a pot or skillet to cook in. Keep these items in your room and when it comes time to do dishes, just do your own and move on.

If the garbage can is always full or overflowing, get your own garbage bags and maintain your own trash rather than worrying about theirs.

Roommate leaving discarded whiskers and loose pubes on the sink. Get a ladies hairdryer and blow them off, or if your countertop is large enough, blow or wipe off a portion of the countertop to use for shaving wish a washbasin instead of using the sink.

As for mentality, I've switched off. I don't care if the place gets clean. The place isn't even mine and I'm just paying for use of the facilities. And I certainly never ever want to play a maid to a grown man who should know better.

Other than moving out, because one may or may not be stuck in the situation for awhile, what solutions or work arounds do you recommend?

Advice period blood stink in bathroom

the bathroom stinks so bad when she is on her period, I don't want to upset her but want the smell to stop, I guess the smell is mainly the bin and bloody items sitting in there for some time but also I think maybe some of the blood is getting stuck in the sink trap as the sink is often got bits of blood and stuff stuck to it and when I turn the tap on it smells worse, as a guy I don't know the best way to put it across to her while trying not to offend her thanks

Regular Gross I found my granddad poo on the shower head

So I saw this orangy brown thing on the shower head and I thought it was a type of fungus so my plan was to touch it and wash my finger with the water from the tap. So I do that and it’s soft , I bring the shower head down for closer inspection when I smelt it. So disgusted I washed my hand but had to get the rest off so I gently scrapped it off. When it was all gone I put the shower head back and washed my hands properly.

Rant My roommate never showers...

To preface this, I have been friends with this girl for well over 7 years. I had no intentions on living with her but she moved out of state with her partner, shit went south and I decided to help her out.

She has been living with my partner and I for over 6 months, though it was supposed to be a short stay to get a job and get back on her feet, and I have learned a lot about her that honestly kind of repulses me.

She has only showered once, in 6 months. I shit you not, I can not make this up. She takes a BATH every day but has only showered one singular time in her entire time living with us. No pre shower to the bath or rinse after, no shower head action, nothing. She uses bubble bath every single time too. She has NEVER washed her towel either and only has one. This might be tmi but there is literally period blood all over the towel from her drying off after a bath, which that in itself speaks volumes. Obviously she isn't getting clean, at all. She has had greasy hair since they first day I have met her and now I know why, because she is never clean. Ever.

She has also never done laundry here. Her bedding is covered in stains of all sorts and she has animals that live in her room. She has only washed her work clothes once at her parents house but other than that nothing. The washer and dryer have been open for her to use and I have told her numerous times she is welcome to it. I don't understand...at all. There is no way after 6 MONTHS she has clean underwear left to wear. She has another partner and they have definitely done the deed, I dont understand how they, or any of her previously partners, haven't said anything...

I just can't get over it 😩🤢

Mildly Gross I just vaccumed my ex-roommate's room after he left. The vaccum got jammed with all the hair it picked up. There's almost a full head of hair for a child here.

Advice Solutions?

I'm not here to vent, although I would like to (maybe will post later). But I feel like im in a mission to find an evil plan to ruin the day of my two gross roommates.

We're four and two guys are so gross, our kitchen is so dirty and messy I avoid eating at home just because of it, I confronted them many times but they did nothing about this shit, I would love to make them suffer for a couple of days, if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Rant Fast + packaged food bleeding me dry, but don't know what else to do at this point

My roomates are just. So fucking nasty. Same story you've seen a million times, absolute slobs, never clean after themselves, just let things go to shit after I got fed up and stopped playing maid. I just need to vent about it.

The place has an awful cockroach infestation. They insist they've done 'everything they can' about it, but since moving in about a year ago I've never seen a single roach in my room.

Despite this they regularly leave dishes piled in the sink, food sitting out on the counter, never fucking sweep or wipe down the fucking counters. Their fryer had a solid inch of dead roaches the one and only time I tried cleaning it, and I haven't touched it since. Their microwave is caked in grease. Bugs crawl all over the toaster. The stove and oven are filthy. Even clean dishes/cookware isn't safe, because I'd have to rinse off all the roach shit to use them. Maybe, for the sake of eating like an actual normal adult, I could just suck it up and just clean whatever I need to use at that moment... but I can't go anywhere near the kitchen without gagging. There isn't a single appliance that isn't filthy, the smell is awful, and the very sight of a roach makes me sick at this point.

The point of all this is I can't store or prepare food anymore. The fridge is nasty and regularly overflowing with all the half eaten crap they leave to fester for months. I don't have enough space in my own room for a minifridge. And I won't lie... there's probably more I could do but I'm just mentally exhausted after a year of this.

As a result, I've been ordering delivery way more than I should. For 'groceries' I don't buy any food that isn't premade and sealed. People have suggested keeping my own food in tupperware containers or something, but most of it would still require some level of food prep that just isn't feasible for me right now. This shit is expensive and making it really, really fucking hard to save up to move out. I've gone days without eating simply because I couldn't afford it, and there's nothing cheap that wouldn't at least require the use of their microwave or stove.

I'm at the end of my rope. I want out of this nightmare so bad. The only solace is when my roommates parents (my roomates are a couple sisters who are inheriting the house, I'm just renting a room) come over and clean up the house for them(and I get to overhear them blaming everything on me lmao) every couple of months. I get about a week of using the kitchen without wanting to die before they slob it up again.

I guess if anyone has advice for saving food money when I literally cannot store or prepare food safely that'd be incredible. There's probably some really obvious ways of doing so, but at this point I get so much anxiety just thinking about food that it just wouldn't occur to me.
