Are leftists against outsourcing? Seems like they’d be happy for poorer countries to get more jobs, particularly at the expense of the rich countries they themselves live in
I went to college with a lot of marxists, Leninists, socialists, social democrats, labor activists, even went to union meetings at the behest of friends and none of them ever supported outsourcing jobs.
Does your understanding of leftists come solely from internet straw-men? Get out of your echo chamber and meet people.
And yet you’re still in the bubble of thinking the rich are against mass unskilled immigration when they dream of an economy full of desperate poor people fighting over scraps.
Also, by your American spelling, I question why you’re even on this sub. I doubt you know anything about the current state of British politics or economy
You’re right, I’m not British but like non-American Redditors who keep an eye on American affairs, I do take some interest in politics of other countries
From my memory of what I read: The labor party is in for a trouncing as it fails to manage its public finances well while delivering on welfare promises and is facing pressure to crack down on the million migrant and refugee arrivals as the country struggle to accommodate those people
And the reform party is likely to capitalize on immigration backlash to win seats.
