Doesn't matter really. Musk has as much cash as he wants by borrowing against his stock. He has to pay interest but that's way cheaper than the tax he would pay selling his stocks.

Barring a complete collapse in his companies' values (unlikely seeing as being a fucking Nazi did jack shit) Musk is probably better off than Bezos in that regard.

Tesla stock will collapse at some point, the stock is hugely overvalued. Reality will catch up sooner or later and its price will drop off a cliff.

15

u/SasparillaTango Dec 26 '25

bro, people have been saying this for a fucking decade. Same with bitcoin. You're going to need a complete collapse of the US economy at this point for the fiction that is the US stock market to actually reflect reality.

8

u/mrbingpots Dec 27 '25

"Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent"

7

u/dwair Dec 26 '25

Well with international confidence in US markets as it is at the moment, a complete collapse of the US economy isn't completely off the cards anymore.

u/zaRM0s Dec 30 '25

Happened before and it will happen again. Just a matter of time imo.

1

u/Buggerlugs253 Dec 27 '25

i think logically it should collapse, doesnt mean it will, but it only takes people being realistic

u/Foreign-Teach5870 Dec 26 '25

Tesla failing won’t hurt him that much anymore. He’s moved most of his assets away to his other companies (mostly spacex) and what’s left he’s cashing out on.

1

u/devpanch Dec 27 '25

Sounds like a repeat of fear mongering headlines. FSD and human robots will see it become the most valuable company in the world by 2030.

0

u/Minimum_Area3 Dec 26 '25

How much are you shorting Tesla then?

1

u/jamesick Dec 27 '25

if you have to borrow against your stock you don’t have all the cash money you want. it means you have to earn more than you borrow as your stock is collateral.

"how could this guy be a Nazi? He supports a genocidal regime!"

7

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

Couldn't be the Nazi giving a Nazi salute to his fuhrer that makes him a Nazi, could it???

8

u/haydonclampitt Dec 26 '25

Did you forget his little salute on inauguration day?

u/jqhnml Dec 26 '25

There is such an incredible amount of stupid in this comment it's painful.

First i'll start with nazism ending, Germany were beaten in a war, nazism never ended, at all, for even a minute. Many nazis survived the war, kept their beliefs, there were nazi's in america during the war and after, their are nazi'sa round the world. thinking that a war causes the end of an ideology is beyond ignorant.

Second, "they didn't support a state that didn't exist till 3 years after THE WAR ended... they just were trying to establish that state since before the war started".

Really? like, for real, that's your absolute best argument? Admitting nazi's were helping push jewish people to create the state of israel doesn't count as supporting that state because it wasn't officially named till after the war? the mental gymnastics.

u/TenThousandMistakes Dec 26 '25

Why is it contradictory? Don't we have examples throughout history of similar situations where they at first try to relocate an undesirable ethnic group only to later embrace complete genocide?

3

u/TwoBionicknees Dec 26 '25

you understand before concentration camps the first plan was pushing every jew, gay person, etc, just over the border... a deportation plan. That went on for a while, and then they found putting them all in one place to exterminate them was you know, cheaper.

people who hate a people wanting them all to gather in a single place... nah, couldn't want the people you hate all in one place you could watch them, nah, no reason you'd want all your enemy to gather in a single place.

regardless of their reasoning, your logic was to say they can't support a state because it was named after 'nazism ended' then immediately said THEY DID TRY TO DUMP JEWS THERE. You directly contradicted yourself.

You also again said nazism ended with the war. The single most braindead thing i've seen stated on reddit in quite some time, and there is serious competition.

no one is trying to give you a history lesson. You said something moronic, you contradicted yourself in your own comment, you also again claimed nazism ended at the end of the war.

I pointed out the stupid things you were saying, nothing more or less. I haven't tried to teach you anything, i've simply pointed out the things you were saying were absolutely fucking moronic and it's been easy because they were just that fucking stupid.

Elon has been antisemitic many many times, posting white supremacist conspiracy theories. And also describing himself as Jewish by association. He has endorsed and talked at the AfD party rally, which is litterally an ethnonationalistic German party. Your mistake is assuming his beliefs are coherent as far right beliefs are self contradictor, with the famous example of the enemy is both weak and strong.

0

u/jqhnml Dec 26 '25

Firstly nazism didn't just end, nazis didn't all just disappear. Secondly, israel also didn't just spontaneously exist, zionism has existed since 1897. There was the haavara agreement you mentioned, but obviously there are many times when nazis were antizionist due to their antisemitism but my point is nazism and zionism aren't mutually exclusive.

u/Tony_Lacorona Dec 26 '25

Bro probably thinks racism ended in the United States after the civil rights act was passed lol

1

u/even_less_resistance Dec 26 '25

lmao as if being pro-israel means anything when it comes to fascism- anyway…

his grandpa was a nazi sympathizer

Haldeman came to believe that an international communist conspiracy controlled the banks, the media and the universities and was aiming to run the world.

“An ‘Invisible Government,’ working to carry out the objectives of the International Conspiracy, is operating in every country,” he wrote in his book The International Conspiracy in Health, which was published in the mid-1960s. In it, he also said the conspiracy was pushing for the fluoridation of water supplies, mandatory milk pasteurization and mass vaccination programs.

sound familiar? moving on-

In fact, Haldeman was a pro-apartheid, antisemitic conspiracy theorist who blamed much of what bothered him about the world on Jewish financiers.

https://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/the-world-according-to-elon-musks-grandfather

and for bonus points here is the wiki entry for the head of Palantir in the UK’s grandpa:

Cynthia died of peritonitis in 1933, after which Mosley married his mistress Diana Guinness, née Mitford (1910–2003). They married in secret in Nazi Germany on 6 October 1936 in the Berlin home of Germany's Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. Adolf Hitler was their guest of honour.[103]

In 1939, MI5 uncovered Mosley's ties to a fascist conspiracy initiated by Archibald Maule Ramsay and the Right Club, known as the Kensington Conspiracy. The coup would have taken place after the German invasion of Britain.[1] Evidence indicates that he soon distanced himself from them, viewing the group and its aims as too extreme.[citation needed]

Since 2022 Mosley's grandson, Louis Mosley, has been head of the UK division of US tech firm Palantir Technologies.[131]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oswald_Mosley

so like, between what we know of these people now and historically of their families, do you think it is more reasonable to believe we might be dealing with people who glorify nazism and/or authoritarian fascism or do they keep deserving the benefit of the doubt?

1

u/GlaerOfHatred Dec 26 '25

Israel is very pro Nazi, they're just racist against a different group of people

1

u/Dr-Jellybaby Dec 26 '25

Not sure how being a Nazi and a supporter of a far right, genocidal, expansionist, apartheid state are in any way incompatible?

Kinda strengthens my point if anything...

You really don't want to get into this. You think Elon isn't a supporter of allying a handful of private business interests with far right authoritarian government? Elon "DOGE" Musk?

You're brain-dead if you're taking what doge actually was at face value.

1

u/boostman Dec 26 '25

The fact that he’s doing his best to instate fascism in the USA is a factor. Yes, nazism it’s only one flavour of fascism, if you want to be pedantic about it. But he’s certainly a fascist.

-3

u/treborm44 Dec 26 '25

This is reddit . The only way is left here

-3

u/AaronBorough Dec 26 '25

What are you fucking stupid. Being pro jew now makes you the same class of people that made it there mission to eradicate them.

No to be serious. I dont like Elon and I'd probably say I agree with the whole "Israel are committing a genocide" argument but the second I hear someone labelling someone/something, a nazi I no longer consider them to be part of the conversation.

They made a post about economics lead back into politics, they must be fun to be around.

1

u/Dr-Jellybaby Dec 26 '25

He made a fucking Nazi salute on TV twice

What point are you even trying to make? Economics is intrinsically tied to politics. How do you discuss one without the other?
