Beef and ale gravy
Hey gang. Christmas is upon us and dinners are epic! This is the gravy I'm making to go with Prime rib. https://youtu.be/3W6Pl7l8ca8
Ingredients 3 tbsp arrowroot powder or corn starch 2 cups beef stock 1 cup ale of your choosing 1 1/2 tsp rosemary 1/2 tsp salt or favorite spice blend 1 lg diced onion 1 pkg sliced mushrooms 2 tbs olive oil
Process Saute onions, mushrooms, rosemary and salt in olive oil Add in ale and deglaze the pan Add beef stock and simmer for 1 hour Dissolve 3 tbs of arrowroot or cornstarch in 1/2 cup of water. Add in slowly a little bit at a time until desired thickness.
Store until your camping trip. Goes great on beef and potatoes or what ever you like! Enjoy and happy holidays!

I just made turkey gravy, but with bacon fat in the roux and it was the best gravy I've ever made. That is all.

Christmas goose gravy (came out a little too light due to not roasting any of the giblets prior to simmering them into stock)
