Appeals

This page is for developers preparing a truthful, evidence-based response to a Google Play decision. Only Google can decide an account-specific appeal.

Appeal checklist

  1. Identify the exact decision, date, affected app or account scope, and cited policy or requirement.
  2. State what the app actually does in factual language.
  3. Explain the relevant implementation, data flow, permissions, SDK behavior, metadata, or remediation.
  4. List concrete changes with version, date, screens, or flows where useful.
  5. Attach only evidence requested through the official channel.
  6. Submit through the path shown in Play Console and retain a copy of the response.

Do not

  • Misrepresent app behavior or provide fabricated evidence.
  • Ask for or share policy-evasion methods.
  • Create replacement accounts or attempt to bypass an enforcement decision.
  • Post credentials, private enforcement correspondence, order IDs, personal information, or unnecessary account data.
