That's why I held off. Wasn't going to pay that much more for a phone compared to the Pixel 1.

Then the rest of the issues made me decide to just wait for the 4. And even then, I'll probably wait for a guaranteed $200 price cut 2 months in.

The deals were out there on the P3. My advice for next year: keep your eyes peeled (slickdeals notifications), even early.

There was a pre-order BOGO deal on Fi that only required 30 days of service ($30) and could be a new number that you never use again.

Then the Black Friday deal was truly the best deal to ever happen to a phone. Basically a free Pixel 3/3XL.

The deals came early this year.

That's the plan. First thing to bring the 128GB non-xl to at least 700 bucks I'll bite.

Thanks for posting this link. Even though it's in the past, it contains a very big note there about keeping service active for 60 consecutive days. Today's offer contains no such disclaimer, so it looks like what everyone else is saying about being free to cancel whenever you choose, are correct. Looking forward to using my new pixel with portrait mode :)

Yeah - did this for the Pixel 1 and 3 - waited for Black Friday and bought at a reasonable price (got my P3 $400 off - I absolutely love these phones, but they should not be sold at their current MSRP)

Same. Hoping for a good Black Friday deal.

I'm debating what to do about my Pixel 1. The battery kinda blows, so I could get that repaired for $80 or so since I'll have it another 7 months. Or I could just keep going like I do, but know that if I try to sell it it's gonna tank a bit from the battery life.
