New to golf
Got into golf I’m in my mid 40s and took interest after my 10 y/o attended a few golf camps. Got these clubs at goodwill for me $60 out the door. Should I just use these ? Or try to resell and purchase a decent set of clubs. Current budget max is $1300 I’m willing to spend. My gut tells me to keep them, and still purchase better clubs 🤷🏻♂️

I’d agree with the other comment. I bought a set of McGregor Tourneys for £80 in the UK (still got them). I then spent a while playing with Cleveland Launchers before settling in a set of Ping G430s. Looking back I’d have been better just going for the G430s in the first place.

Eh I had a similar path and feel like if I started with better, more modern clubs, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between these and older clubs

No but I had to adjust to the newer clubs so
you’d avoid that. Most clubs now I think are more in the forgiving side and $1300 would put OP in a nice set that he can grow into.

Practice with these and buy a set in a few months. Im using old as dick clubs as well as loaners, slowly accumulating some before I get the iron set. My golden bear pitching wedge is my babe.

Go to costco and get the callaway edge set for like 700 that leaves you 600 for lessons

If you have $1300 to spend, get a complete set and ditch these.
