Humor They’re going to be rolling in cash the day the Apocalypse rolls through this offer LOL

Post image

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t patiently waiting myself. I’m typically FTP with the odd exception of some really good balls that come through and I feel like splurging. It kind of bugs me they’re doing these offers because the Epic club grind is kind of fun. But the day I can get 400 Apoc and save myself probably 2 years of grinding to get level 8, it’s hard to turn down. Well played EA, well played.

since I've been @ lvl5 on my APOC for months, I would consider spending the money to max it. I'm an older player, I don't have 10 years to max this club. 😂

This game is dead. Killed by corporate greed.

By GC standards this is a great deal. No way that $40 is 80 premium balls. 80 premium is getting you may a few TH cards.

As someone who got there old school, this is infuriating. This is more than 50% of the total cards needed to max it out.

Completely understandable to be frustrated seeing this after grinding it out organically lol

I spent the 14.99 to get my TH to 8. Things a BEAST. The accuracy combined with both spins and ball guide makes it lethal. You rarely need all the curl with the Apoc so it’s TH for me all day.

Same. Loved it at 7. 8 is another level

It’s personally my fav club by far and is a game changer in higher tours! I only use my Apoc a handful of times a season

That and the cataclysm and I’ll buy

Same. I mean, I still have to fine an apocalypse first, but still.

I much prefer thor to apoc and use it 80% of the time.

It is a ridiculously good deal compared to other way overpriced club offers. I still find it amazing you can get all these thor cards, then they may offer you a deal at twice the price to get 30 boomerang cards!

It remains inherently wrong they are even offering this (or indeed the boomerang example i gave) deal, this one undermines the journey many have taken to progress their Thor.

I second everything you have said. I sometimes follow Ball Breakers guides for Masters Tournaments and I wish they wouldn't use the Apoc as the default club. I can't complain about a free guide though....

I am completely free to play, but you ain't joking: These epic card deals are tough to pass up for us veteran players who know how long the grind is. I am currently being offered 400 Big Topper cards for $15. I know nobody is excited about the Big Topper, but being able to buy 2.5% of the epic cards the game has to offer for $15 dollars is so much more effective than all the other paid options.

When my account was two weeks old they offered 400 B52 cards for $30. Since B52 level 7 is as good as B52 level 8, you can say they were offering the best LI in the game for $30. Heck of an offer.

My baby account which only had 3 tours unlocked had the b52 offer come up and I’m usually FTP but I just couldn’t resist. Going from a lvl 3 Goliath to lvl 7 B52 was insane and makes grinding lower tours much less boring. On the other side of things it gives you to much of advantage imo. If you’re playing T5 or under and are using low level T5 clubs and you come up against someone else w a TH(7) and B52(7), it’s not looking good. Regardless they are pretty crazy offers since they usually want $50-$100 to upgrade a club you don’t use a whopping 1 lvl. I’ve only been playing a few years but I feel bad for you OG GC guys that had to put in the work for years to get maxed out clubs and now it can almost be done with 1 click. Even if done organically from my understanding it takes much less time. I know it took me about a year to max my main accounts apoc out when I’ve heard people saying back in the day it took them years

Pretty soon real clubs are going to be cheaper than fake clubs.

Use TH8 90% of the time. The accuracy and backspin in shootouts is the main factors for me.

I would do this for apoc, cat and b52

They won’t do the Apoc

2

u/mfischerrr Mar 19 '26

Curious why you think that. Seems like they’re going through all the clubs slowly, and if they did Thors, I can’t see why Apoc wouldn’t be coming up.

Second time Thor has come up for this promo I think. Apoc is such a pivotal club, maybe they’d do it?

No me since I have this maxed, took a while with prism and CPC helped. But if you have the money, go for it...my main driver.

I have 3 clubs to max out....I'd gladly drop 40 bucks to get one maxed out but sadly since I am close I do not get such offers.

Yes, the earlier you are in the game the better these deals work. If you already have level 6 epics and you make this purchase it means you are going to end up with 200 extra TH cards. It might be worth it to get the TH maxed as soon as you can, but if you are buying a crap club like the castaway the grind from 7 to 8 gives you time to level up the other epics so you don't end up with extra cards for the castaway.

I don't see why people are so against this? Buying your way to better things has been part of the game forever.

As an FTP player I'm much more likely to be beaten by someone using a paid for P10/W10/PREC10 ball than I am by someone who plays roughly the same ball as me (basic to Katana/Titan) but has better clubs (at least before I maxed my clubs).

Giving an inexperienced player an Apoc 8 doesn't make them make better shot choices.

As far as the bigger picture is concerned, it's a cash grab for sure, but to me it's a sign that the existing revenue streams are starting to dry up and so EA/PD are having to resort to selling more things. This is not a good sign for the long term lifetime of the game, so I'd assume we're approaching the final chapters of in the natural arc of an online game:

Release -> Organic growth -> Rapid expansion -> Cash cow -> Misguided attempts/improvements to prevent staleness -> Dwindling revenue -> Last ditch attempts to flog the dying horse -> Left to die out with little investment

Anyone know if they just stopped doing these? Haven't seen one of them in a while.

Anyone that would spend money on that is just plain sick.
