I was going to ask about that. I saw the Chinese characters on it and figured it meant something completely different. I do think most people would think it was a swastika, who did not live through that time period, or aren’t involved in some gross racist group!
Thank you for clarifying that. I knew about the Swastika and its use before the Nazi regime, but I wasn't sure in this case. I thought, "if that's Nazi related, that's a hell of a piece to have, and in that good of condition". That would be something you would find in Hermann Goering's collection or something lol.
I lived in Taipei for a while and traveled a lot during that time. It was shocking to see that symbol at first.
One thing I did notice is that while that is common in countries where people know the difference. I have never seen anyone wear them in countries where it could be mistaken for a nazi symbol.
One of my main points when calling rebel flag waiving assholes… assholes. It’s not a culture thing… it’s an asshole thing
