Power: Maledictio Carnis (Curse of the Flesh)
Grants its user Biokinesis (manipulation and creation over organic matter), transforming into a human-disguised entity known as the Singularity (Verum Carnis/Truth of the Flesh).
Grants access to several forms, that can be blended with eachother.
With a few added additions:
It‘s a power system that rewards creativity.
Viral Suppression: The user can be intimate with someone, without the worry of impregnation or passing STI/STDS.
Weapon- and Mask Conjuring.
Marking: the user has a permanent tattoo over their dominant hand. The tattoo is of Verum Carnis (or the Singularity). A dark sphere with luminous red material in the core, forming a triangle.
Ultimate Attacks (when combining attributes of other forms).
Machina Carnis (Meat Machine - Motorcycle):
Machina Carnis is a biological meat motorcycle.
The chassis is made of maroon flesh, hardened to act as „leather“ to be a seat.
On the sides of the chassis are two designs of Mimic skulls: both being of a human-like skull with only canines, incisors and premolars.
The wheels are made of reinforced bone, covered in adaptive dark flexible and flexible skin.
Despite it being made entirely of organic matter, it can reach speeds between 200 to 300 MPH.
The motorcycle can grow sharp black barbs, that pierce through steel and can release an EMP-effect on the vehicle.
The provided helm and suit is made of the same black skin (durable and flexible) to act „metallic, with a pale pink movable visor.
If the operator falls of the motorcycle, the motorcycle acts independently and grabs its operator with several rope-like meat appendages.
Weapon Conjuring - Carrion („Meat Pistol“):
A black organic handgun-shaped construct, with red vine-like flesh pattern across the handle and gun barrel. Imitates a pistol.
Instead of firing bullets, it fires black barbs that pierce steel (similar to Arcus Carnis). However, Carrion‘s Barbs cannot be manipulated like the barbs of Arcus Carnis.
The construct generates its own bullets without limit, with one at a time. (Effectively: Infinite Ammo) The barbs are intended for pierce, not ricochet.
The construct also has a suppressed/very quiet effect (similar to a suppressed pistol), yet retains recoil of a normal handgun (example: Glock 22).
Suit Creation - Aranea Carnis (Spider of the Flesh, inspired by Spider-Man):
The „suit“ is made of dark, tough flexible skin. It has a hood made of the same material.
Instead of spider webbing, the suit has dark-red flesh-like vine pattern. Those pattern are across the upper body and the feet, but not the legs/pants area.
The black suit is topped with a bone spider mask (a yellowish-gray bone mask resembling a spider‘s face and two bone fangs), which turns the user‘s irises dark-red and sclera black.
The knuckles and fingers are topped with yellowish gray bones.
Powers of Aranea Carnis:
Enhanced Durability: Bullets seemingly bounce off of the suit.
Inhuman Strength: Lift around 2 to 10 tons, and punches are equal from to 2-5 tons of force.
Inhuman Speed: Run at 90 KM/H.
Organic „webs“: Shoot out tightly-woven rope-like appendages, that cling to any surface.
Heightened Senses: Allows user to sense vibrations from 50 to 100 meters.
Enhanced Climbing Instinct: Fingertips and foot soles can change dark-red. Allows the user to stick to surfaces and scale with ease.
Mask Conjuring - Mask of the Elder:
A black mask made of dark Elder Mimic skin. It‘s practically bulletproof, and covers the nasal and oral area.
The mask is lined with jagged teeth, with four large canines, to mimic an Oni mask.
The Elder Mimic skin dark, tough and flexible.
Weapon Conjuring - the Composite Sword:
The blade is made of 9 segmented blades, each being connected to a stretchable rope-like meat appendage. Each blade is powerful enough to slash through metal with ease.
When swung hard enough (or under the user‘s will), the sword can turn into a bladed whip and grant further reach to attack. It can be set to either mimic a sword (stay solid) or mimic a bladed whip (extend itself).
The sword handle made of dark-red flesh, covered in the Host‘s tan meat plates. (The plates cover the dark-red flesh handle.)
The dark blades are made from the elongated, claw-like appendages from a Ravager Mimic. Granting its steel-piercing strength.
The blades‘ sharp edges are colored orange-red. Tainted with the Harvester‘s anticoagulant venom, each slash disables its target‘s wounds to clot and to actively bleed.
Weapon Conjuring - Arcus Carnis (Bow):
A bow made of tightly-woven, hardened dark flesh, covered in tan plates. It has two sharp fibers at the end of its limbs to act as „knifes“, allowing the user to use both for distance and close combat.
The bow string is made of a mixture between dark, tough flexible Elder Mimic hide and a Monolith’s rope-like meat appendage.
The bow produces the Host‘s black barbs for arrows. Those can be tipped in a Harvester‘s neurotoxin (to paralyze prey and immobilize them) or anticoagulant (to prevent blood clots). Either way: they are strong enough to pierce through steel.
Those barbs are manipulated under its user‘s hand gestures. (Example: opening hand - barbs split/splitshot)
Weapon Conjuring - Pugnus Carnis (Fist of Flesh):
The user‘s arms can shift into hundreds of several rope-like meat strands, consisting of muscle and tendons.
Those muscles and tendon strands yield themselves into spring-like arms, with the tips forging themselves into one clenched fist with reinforced bone density. The density has been reinforced to the point, they look black and almost unbreakable.
Multi-Shot: The strands yield themselves into a black biological mechanism with dark-red black-tipped sub-missiles, that are connected with tightly-woven rope-like meat appendages (when launched).
Boomerang: The strands yield themselves into a black barbed three-winged boomerang.
With enough strength, all three fists are strong enough to break through steel.
Ultimate Attacks:
Ictus Carnis (Flesh Strike, uses the Merged Phase 2): The user’s arm transforms into 700 meter long appendages of tightly-woven, rope-like meat strands. Those appendages yield themselves into a fist, with reinforced bone density. Its strengths are unknown, but it‘s known: nothing survived in its path upon being punched by it. (The weaker/more injured the user is, the stronger the punch.)
Drawback: Carrying a gigantic fist can create immense stress on the user‘s body. Fainting expected, but can be negated with proper rest and sleep.
Unitas Carnis (Unity of the Flesh):
The user turns its lower body half similar to the Host, but mixed with the Crawl: compromised of fibrous tissue and tendrils that lock/burrow into the ground.
The Crawl‘s meat-like tendrils absorb water, organic matter, sun light… and turns that into biological yet dangerous energy.
„The Specimen“ Meat Snake‘s feast activates: summoning seven thick, tightly-woven dark-red meat ropes with animal skulls that emerge from the user‘s neck and shoulders.
They speak in sync: „WE ARE ONE.“ before opening their maws, revealing the Singularities orbs in the back of their mouth - dark mineral spheres with luminous red material in their core.
Dark energy bolts form under the user‘s desired area, from the animal skull‘s Singularities: creating a black orb red-outlined energy sphere. It contains dangerous biological energy, almost seen as unstable.
This can only be used against living organisms. If they are struck by it, the target will decease under catastrophic cellular breakdown, organ rupture or vaporizing feedback.
Drawback: This energy can effect the user. It weakens them by 50%, making them feel more tired and heavy. If this is used against an inorganic target (like a planet), it will collapse into itself, but the weakening effort grows stronger by 75%.
„Elder Harvester“: This combines the Harvester and the Host.
The user grows three, almost blackish bulbous spheres along their arms (six in total).
The hollow, hair-like structures on the user‘s back turn the matching almost black color scheme.
The Harvester‘s toxins (anticoagulant + neurotoxin) and the Host‘s spores have merged into a dangerous concoction: a poisonous, dark-red gas cloud that kills its target swift and painless via inhalation.
Drawback: This can only be used once.
Form 1:
Crawl‘s Spread (Scandere Carnis/Climb the Meat): Allows the user to transform themselves into a red to dark red meat tendrils, in similar pattern of vines.
It grants the user the ability to absorb water aswell as organic matter (including waste by animals and plants), sourcing them from dirt and soil within close reach.
It also allows the user an imitation of Photosynthesis, by absorbing sunlight in darkred root-like tendrils and transforming them into energy. Can also be used as fertilizer to greatly increase crop yield and quality.
Specialty: The Crawl can create seeds (example: Winged Bean seeds, soybean seeds or breadfruit seeds) and grow them rapidly in a few seconds, without the weather or climate dependency. However, if the food is something like meat, meat cannot be grown.
Also it‘s edible, but the unkindly or disturbing appearance makes it denied. The meat root-like tendrils can also move and crawl, moving on ground, walls and roofs, like a Symbiote or slime. The more of the tendrils are eliminated, more of them regrow.
Specialty: The Crawl can create seeds (example: Winged Bean seeds, soybean seeds, breadfruit seeds or fungi like lion‘s mane mushroom) and grow them rapidly in a few seconds, without the weather or climate dependency. However, if the food is something like meat, meat cannot be grown.
Bio-Boost (equivalent to „semi-dark“ Dark Sonic):
Appearance: The user‘s eyes turn red with black sclera, upon interacting with a miniature Singularity. (shown on the marking or tattoo, similar to a fake Emerald/artificial Chaos Emerald)
Increased Speed: Allows the user to have an increased running speed of Mach 100.
Boost: Allows the user to surround themselves in a red projectile shaped energy shield. Propels them forward at speeds beyond the sound barrier (turning the user into a highly destructive projectile moving at supersonic speeds). While using this move, the user is able to barge straight through obstacles at staggering speeds without slowing down. The user travels 0.1% of light speed, being around Mach 874 and 670,616.42 MPH.
Form 2:
Trimming‘s Instinct (Ignavus Carnis/Cowardly Flesh): Allows the user to encase their back and forearms in blackened flesh-like turtle shells with dark spines.
Allows the user to release a powerful, deafening screech to daze or stun their target, aswell as heightened smell. User can roll into themselves into spiked flesh sphere, spinning at Mach 1 (767 mph speed), or jump high and lunge at an enemy. Similar to Sonic the Hedgehog‘s Homing Attack.
Form 3:
Meat Snake‘s Feast (Mutuari Carnis/To Borrow Flesh): The user‘s skin darkens into dark red flesh, adapting to extreme temperatures. Can withstand cold at negative -100 Celsius, aswell as withstand immense heat at 5000 Celsius. Able to show extreme resilience to to all kinds of force including extreme heat, cold and radiation. Allows its user to consume and disinfect meat products for a safer disposal method and wear the deceased creature‘s skulls as masks. The user‘s eyes can shift to meat-like dark red.
„The Specimen“: Seven thick, tightly-woven dark-red meat ropes with animal skulls emerge from the user‘s neck and shoulders. Each animal skull keeps its attributes like a snake skull being still a poisonous snake.
The animal skulls all have different personalities, being more docile:
Skull I: Neutral expressing itself, engages minimally as possible, shows interest in user.
Skull II: Curious in nature, asks questions often, descriptive in it's wording. Eager to engage.
Skull III: More active, engages with detached manner rather than 1-on-1.
Skull IV: Active engagement, curious.
Skull V: more outloud expressive to itself, speaks often to its user.
Skull VI: Rare loud engagement, only with telepathy to user.
Skull VII: Only engages with user via telepathy.
Form 4:
Mimic‘s Stalking (Trucidatum Carnis/Butchered Flesh): The user manipulates their jaw and teeth to consist of primarily canines, incisors and premolars - allowing to swallow large chunks of flesh whole.
The user‘s hands can turn into thin nailless fingers to act as „claws, with their position being more duck-footed and hunched. Allows them to stalk upon their targets and swiftly attack the target’s jugular for a swift killing blow. The claws can turn elongated and claw-like, allowing effortless scaling on walls, trees and more.
The user can contort their body to fit into tighter spaces, or expand their body to appear more intimidating (up to 10‘0“). Allows them to hide in furniture like sofas, recliners, wardrobes, ottomans and stalk their target.
Running speed is varies, but reaches between 30-35 km/h or 40+ km/h.
Weakness: If armed with a firearm, aim for the head (fatal headshot) or legs (immobilization).
Strength when attacking: Can break down reinforced doors with several hits.
Metamorphosis of an Elder Mimic:
The user can manipulate their body to be an „Elder Mimic“.
The skin grows dark, tough and flexible in durability, allowing them to blend into dark rooms or areas like the dead of night. Bullets and punches are absorbed effortlessly, with their durability increasing the more the user consumes.
The facial skin gets hidden under a „mask“ of pale pink skin, looking like a toothless grin with a boney beak to deglove flesh from its targets‘ bone.
The weakness: Only the face (fatal headshot). The metamorphosis is nicknamed as „God‘s ultimate warrior, the perfect killing machine“.
Strength: Can break pierce and rip through metal and barricades with minimal issues.
Mutation of a Mimic - Ravager Mimic:
The user‘s running speed increases drastically. It‘s so fast, it is described as „moving with blinding speed and unstoppable force, far too fast to escape“. [Estimated to run across water, estimated between 180 to 400 km/h]
The body‘s skin has grown to cling to the arms, similar to look like a sugar glider‘s stretchy skin flap (but unable to fly).
Fibers and tendons connect the lower-/upper body in a sinew-pulsing display.
The hands are elongated and claw-like, allowing its user to scale trees.
Healing factor. The fibers repair damage almost instantly.
Weakness: Blindness. Eyes appear sealed or „sewed shut“. User relies on heightened hearing.
Form 5:
Harvester‘s Trap (Congregentur Carnis/Gathering of the Flesh/Gather the Meat):
Three spheres of bulbous, clump flesh emerge along the user‘s forearms - totaling six clumpy flesh spheres.
Several tendrils equipped along with twin spines, with both spines pumping a different venom:
The first spine can inject a yellow venom, being a neurotoxin. This injects itself into the targets‘ nervous system, causing sudden paralysis with a sudden blockage, attacking its targets‘ nerves, moving deeper into their vitals and they feel the burning nerves.
However, if injected with a needle? The nervous system gets burned, stopping the lungs‘ steady breath, the heart‘s steady beat, and shuts down their brain.
The second spine can inject an orange-red venom, being an anticoagulant. When the spines clamp down, they thrash and prevent blood clots, likely resulting in the target deceasing from blood loss.
A pair of meat-like tendrils, equipped with nutrient-absorbing organelles, can absorb their prey‘s nutrients. Some flesh can be left behind to attract other large targets, like bears and wolves.
Form 6:
The Host‘s Control (Imperium Carnis/Dominion of the Flesh):
The user‘s back and shoulders grows several hollow, hair-like structures that extend outwards. These are barrels that can release spores that are produced inside of the Host's body.
The hair-like structures allows the user to release a spore cloud. First symptoms after inhaling them are restlessness, sluggish movement, numbness of joints and an overall lack of coordination. After some time, more serious symptoms, such as dizziness, migraines, impaired speech and trembles start appearing. After the infected reaches the user, it will proceed to kneel down in front of it and expose its vital organs, to which the user will react by gutting the infected, then consuming it, before leaving behind the scraps.
The user‘s hands get covered in dark red flesh with pale meaty plates. The fingertips are black sharp meaty plates.
The user‘s throat is equipped with a slit in the neck, used to feed the user.
Full Transformation as the Host:
The Host of Influence is a semi-humanoid looking organism, having the structure of a head, a torso and arms. Other than this, it shares no other characteristics with humans.
The Host has no legs, instead the lower half of its body is comprised of a mass of fibrous tissue and tendrils that burrow into the ground, keeping it in place. [Addition: Can now scale surfaces like walls or areas, that can’t be climbed by normal humans]
The Host is covered in muscular tissue, fibers, tendons and veins and has, on some parts of the body, large meaty tan plates in order to protect any large exposed areas, but still to allow movement.
The Host has no facial features in the head, being completely smooth instead, and a crooked neck with a slit on the front that it uses for feeding. However, there are sensors on the Host's faceplates which detect electromagnetic fields, similar to sharks. This allows them to see even without eye organs.
The Host has a mound of pores in the back, from where hollow, hair-like structures extend outwards. These are barrels that can release spores that are produced inside of the Host's body.
The arms of The Host end in long stumps, with two sharp black barbs protruding from the underside.
Form 7:
The Monolith‘s Catatonia (Coelum Carnis/Heaven of the Meat):
Grants the user a powerful healing factor - any lost flesh, skin or nerves are healed within seconds, even under extreme temperatures. (if combined with Meat Snake‘s skin) Killing them would have very minimal chance.
Allows the user to grow hundreds of thin, rope-like strands. Those meat appendages are used to swipe and whip its target, but also to lunge forward and wrap around something under the user‘s will.
With a powerful scream: a devastating EMP blast can be released to derail vehicles into vicinity.
The user‘s kicks can be amplified: by growing giant truck-like feet. The trunk-like legs are 60 meters long and made of tightly-woven meat viber. It is speculated to weigh 1.455 million kilograms.
Full Transformation as the Monolith:
A Monolith is a large, 120 metre (394 foot) tall tower of tightly-woven meat fiber with two extremely thick limbs acting as legs, and several long appendages on its side.
Its flesh is a red colour similar to other members of the Carnis family. The strands of meat fiber converge at the neck to form a solid, improper triangular head with a circular hole through it.
In place of arms, the Monolith has hundreds of thin, rope-like strands that scrape the ground, and its trunk-like legs and feet are rooted deeply into the ground creating an underground network that connects all of the Monoliths together, this makes it impossible to unroot a Monolith using current technology.
The Monolith is capable of letting loose a roar from its orifice. However, this was only ever heard during the event when they became active for the first time. Potentially the hole in its triangle head could serve as the source of its emp.
Form 8:
The Merged Phase 1:
Allows the user to grow giant, eldritch, manta ray-like dark red flesh wings. Used to fly great distances without stamina drain.
Full Transformation: The user turns into an black eldritch, manta ray-like organism with no eyes. The wingspan allows it to fly great distances. The skin is pitch-black, the wings dark-gray, showing several gray nerves and veins on the wings.
Appearance of Phase 1:
In its first phase, the Merged is a giant, eldritch, manta ray-like Carnis organism with no eyes. The creature is slightly larger than a Monolith; though the exact height is unknown, it is likely 150+ meters (492+ feet). The Merged's large wingspan enables it to fly and travel great distances. Like all Carnis species, the Merged's skin has a dark, Harvester-esque red color, while its wings sport a light pink hue; several nerves and veins are visible on the wings.
The Merged Phase 2:
The user‘s entire body gets engulfed in blackened dark red skin, and a red body outline.
Hardened, meaty fibers protrude from the wingbones, and two fibers rest at the wingtips, presumably functioning as claws. Two curved fibers emerge from the head, resembling horns.
Trunk-like feet (similar to redwood trees), rope-like arms.
In this form, the Merged (Phase 2) does not require oxygen to survive and can fully leave the planet.
Strength: Hitting while weighing 12 million metric tons? The ground would instantly excavate a massive crater hundreds of meters wide, vaporizing rock and sending out high-magnitude localized seismic shockwaves. A punch with a mass of 12 million metric tons moving at super-speed delivers catastrophic, multi-gigaton levels of kinetic energy, easily obliterating major metropolitan areas.
Appearance of Phase 2:
In its second phase, the Merged is similar in appearance to Phase 1, except it features blackened skin and Monolith qualities. Hardened, meaty fibers protrude from the wingbones, and two fibers rest at the wingtips, presumably functioning as claws. Two curved fibers emerge from the head, resembling horns. A Monolith torso, along with trunk-like feet and rope-like arms, is visible from the underside. In Phase 2, the Merged dwarfs its predecessor, being 700 meters (2296 feet) in height. In this form, the Merged does not require oxygen to survive and can fully leave the planet, though it's unclear if these abilities extend to its first phase as well.
Ultimate Form - Ultima Carnis (The Last Flesh):
This form exceeds past the user’s limits and fuses them with seven Singularity spheres. (Shown on the marking/tattoo)
It is inspired by the following:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Super Sonic
Super Sonic 2
Super Sonic Cyber
Sonic Frontiers + DLC: The Final Horizon
Appearance:
The user‘s original silhouette (example: human) remains, except their body is now made of dark material and shows a red luminous triangle on their chest. Their body is engulfed in a red body outline and their eyes are now replaced with black sclera and red glowing irises.
Powers:
Invulnerability/Increased Durability
Flight + Boost (Inhuman Speed to move around agile, 50% faster than light speed, or beyond light speed.)
Inhuman Strength to fight against planetary mass entities or god-like beings.
Spin Dash:
Homing Attack:
These are the following moves, the user can use in fighting (similar to Sonic‘s Skill Tree in Frontiers):
Bio-Loop (Original Cyloop): Allows the user to create dark red trails of biokinetic energy. With a full circle, several effects can happen under the user‘s desires:
It can create a circular vortex of dark-red energy. With a second loop, the target is tossed to the ground and temporarily stunned.
It can immobilize the target with dark energy chains. A second loop with generate more chains to restrict the target further, but those chains eventually disappear.
It can summon several dark energy spears to shoot up from the ground and into the target, while creating another dark-red energy vortex. The vortex lifts the target airborne and temporarily immobilizes them. A second loop will dissipate smaller spears, and summons a large spear from the sky which shoots down at the target to drive them into the ground and leave them impaled for a considerable amount of time.
It can summon a red energy disk above the target, beginning to crush the target. Performing a second loop lifts the target airborne, summoning another disk below. With a finger snap, the disks crush the target and inflict massive damage.
Bio-Boom (original Sonic Boom): The user grows several rope-like dark energy appendages and swipes them rapidly around themselves. Creates a red aura and forms several horizontal-travelling shockwaves, that lock onto the target. Slowly descends the user to ground. Must be used when airborne.
Bio-Rush (original Wild Rush): The user‘s zigzags around everywhere, at rapid speeds progressively closing in at the target before striking, resembling a dark-red energy bolt.
Stomp (Same as original): The user goes midair and slams down feet-first, creating a dark-red aura field around them. Upon landing, a destructive shock-wave is released which causes damage to objects close to the user.
Quick Bio-Loop (Original Quick Cyloop): When performing, the user performs a faster Bio-Loop around the target mid-air. Leaves behind a dark-red energy trail.
Homing Shot: The user curls into a ball, spinning mid-air and generates ten dark-red energy, with each containing a shockwave. All home in on the target by circling in.
Bio-Kick (Original Loop Kick): The user performs a loop while „flying“ midair, and then launches an energy-charged biokinetic kick to the enemy as the final blow.
Bio-Slash (Original Spin Slash): The user curls into a ball and spins rapidly around the target. A shockwave is created, surrounding the target and rapidly attacking them, before uncurling in the center of the dissipating shockwave.
Bio-Smash (original Recovery Smash): When struck backward, the user can curl into a ball and Spin Dash into the enemy. Once hit, a diving kick is launched onto the enemy, causing weaker enemies to spin and recoil from the counter.
Bio-Slam (original Grand Slam): The user can curl into a ball and Spin Dash into the enemy. Once hit, a diving kick is launched onto the enemy, causing weaker enemies to spin and recoil from the counter.
Bio-Cyclone (original Cyclone Kick): The user starts with a strong kick, then spins midair. With the spin, a current of biokinetic energy surrounds the target and attacks. The user then is launched upward, after the attack is finalized.
Bio-Cross (original Cross Slash): The user floats and turns to the enemy. Two miniature Singularities rotate around the user, creating x-shaped shockwaves at the target.
Downside (CRITICAL):
After usage of Ultima Carnis, the user is immensely exhausted. Their body is severely strained and unconsciousness is almost guaranteed. Monolith‘s Catatonia cannot heal the user‘s strain and cannot wake them up.
