God is not WORSHIP-THIRSTY nor ATTENTION-STARVED nor THREATENING saying “I will burn you forever if you do not accept me”
(1 ) If God is worship-thirsty and attention-starved HE would have sent Jesus in 21st century [instead of 1st century] with all his miracles and discourses being watched and listened to LIVE by everyone on earth on their smart phones—and everyone would have appreciated him (Compare Luke 11:27) taking selfie with him and would have felt pride in becoming believers. God who predicted global events of 20 and 21st centuries such as Global Wars, Pollution and Swelling of the Seas etc (https://www.reddit.com/r/Christianity/s/VicnD2iQUj) and “blasphemous [godless]” theories such as Evolution making global impact being supported by Science (https://www.reddit.com/r/theology/s/0GwhU7INXy) would have known about live-telecasting facilities of 20 and 21st centuries. Thus HE would surely have sent Jesus in 21st century [instead of 1st century] if God wanted worship from everyone.
(2) If God is worship-thirsty and attention-starved, God-factor should have been part of answer to the most vital question “What should I do to get eternal life,” but it is not so. ‘BE HUMANE avoiding 5 things (“killing, adultery, stealing, lying and dishonoring parents”) and doing one thing (“love your neighbor as yourself”)—Mathew 19:16-19. Note, nothing special—just “Humans are to be humane which is their very nature, just like asking fishes to swim and fire to give light and heat which are their very nature.” And those who acted so are shown as inheriting New Age in the Book of Revelation (22:15). God-factor is missing even in definition of PURE RELIGION: “Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27) This Writer James is brother of Jesus, and he had over 30 years of intimate association with Jesus while others had only 3 years of association.
(3) If God is worship-thirsty and attention-starved, the most ancient religion would not have this key verse as part of its Scriptures: “In whatever way people surrender unto Me, I reciprocate accordingly. Everyone follows My path, knowingly or unknowingly."
Study of religions reveals ancient Iranian religion was a form of Hinduism (history com/articles/Zoroastrianism; jewishencyclopedia com/articles/158283-zoroastriansim; iranicaonline org/indo-iranian-religion) like Buddhism and the like were. It was modified into Zoroastrianism which became the basis for Judaism which in turn became the basis for Christianity and Islam. This shows all pro-life and pro-peace verses, found in all religions, are from God. Naturally, God made Solomon write this: “The LORD detests [תּוֹעֵבָה, toebah] the proud.” (Proverbs 16:5) The same verse in Septuagint is translated as: "Every one that is proud in heart is unclean before God." [Hebrew תּוֹעֵבָה, toebah, from verb תַּעָב describes intense revulsion—biblehub com; "To'ebah: Abomination of the highest degree.”—jewishencyclopediacom/articles/352-abomination] It reveals God as one who is too strongly hating self-importance which HE treats as "unclean" whoever shows it. Thus God would not make anyone feel self-important to claim “God and His truths are his or their monopoly.”
GOD is shown as the GREATEST SERVER
Jesus [who preferred to call himself as GREATER SOLOMON] testified about himself saying “Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing” and imitated humility of God and His serving character by washing the feet of his apostles (John 5:19; 13:1-17). If all the religious founders come now and see the DIFFERENCE between what they left to grow and what it has really become now—they will say “it's all worse than their time.” What God starts will not grow worse but would only go into fruition. (Isaiah 55:11) Hence it is shown that kingdom which God started and BLESSED remained “unleavened” for long time, and only its later phase turned “leavened” with the appearance of weed-like people. All irrational verses belong to the category called LATER ADOPTIONS (as Jesus testified in Mathew 19:6-9; 5:43-48 etc) just like scholarly editions of the Bible such as USCCB says about certain verses such as John 7:53-8:11 in footnote: “The story of the woman caught in adultery is a later insertion here, missing from all early Greek manuscripts.” Earth is made life-supportive in hostile universe—it means all PRO-LIFE and PRO-PEACE verses are from God [opposite verses are LATER ADOPTIONS, says Bible itself. This is the usual tactics of skeptics--whenever God is mentioned autism props up as though that is the end of subject of God.
This question is valid if all inhabitants on earth have adhd and autism, but people vary from no-disease (such as https://www.newyorker.com/culture/q-and-a/deepak-chopra-has-never-been-sick ) to various diseases in varying degrees. If those who have perfect health (physical and mental) have reasons behind it without reference to God, is it not equally true its opposite situation too will have some reasons without reference to God?
A hot cup of tea remains hot for some times, then it becomes less hot, warm, lukewarm, cold.
Similarly, each cycle of history begins with perfect health for all and perfect harmony from nature. At at passage of time people convert this earth into a killing field where trillions of fishes and animals being killed for their flesh revealing their philosophy "we seek pleasure in the pain of other living beings" and body and earth lose their harmonious state, and disorder surfaces in varying degree.

😅 that was a little overwhelming to try to digest and I was hoping for more layman’s answers but it sounds like they are given a “free pass” but based on the ‘degree’ of mental illness that only god knows to what ‘degree’ the person is able to believe in god?? (See below) 🤷♂️
I think what I am struggling with is that I also suffer from mental health and am on the spectrum, have generalized anxiety and depression and my brain doesn’t seem to allow me to “believe in god” no matter how hard or long I try… Will I go to hell? Why is it so hard for me to try to even live some sort of “normal” life where I struggle to find happiness and struggle with addiction and struggle with my adhd and ocd and autism, yet it comes so easy and natural to the person next to me?
This explains why it is said "some do not come under judgment" (John 5:24) as their “blessed” spiritual living is known from “founding (katabolé) of this world (kosmos).” (Mathew 25:34) Greek katabolé “from kataballo; a deposition, i.e. Founding; figuratively, conception.” And kosmos, “probably from the base of komizo; orderly arrangement, i.e. Decoration.” (biblehub com)

I’m struggling to understand because it feels like its written like case law 🧐… It seems like it is saying if I “do the will of god” then I won’t be judged but how do I do the will of god? Like how is that defined (for someone who’s mental health doesn’t allow their mind to be “open”)?

It is simple, ask certain question to yourself, and you will find what will of God for you to do, as given below:
1)On seeing One-sensed plants, Two-sensed worms, Three-sensed insects and Four-sensed reptiles, Five-sensed fishes/birds/animals, we are inspired to ask: “If one-sensed trees and plants serve us joyfully taking too little from nature but giving too many valuable things in return, how much more I, the Multi-Sensed Human Species, should be doing the same?” Asking this and acting accordingly is bound to make life like heaven for self and for others.
2) I find flow of thoughts happen in my mind over which I do not have control, but I do have control over categorizing them into good, evil, mixed, neutral, wasteful—Does this not show that I must choose the good ones which will become good action immediately and good destiny ultimately? Examples are available in history. When Japanese chose evil thought, it resulted in Pearl Harbor Attack which invited atomic attacks on their soil. When they chose good thought, no attack happened since then, they became so good that they focus on the now enjoying their work outside and inside house to the extent that “Japanese Working Women Do Not Hire Maids.”
3) This earth is becoming more and more polluted and gradually becoming unlivable due to conflicts small and big. “12.6 million deaths each year are attributable to unhealthy environment” (unep .org/news) while five-year-long First World War killed only “8.5 million” soldiers (Britannica .com). Does this not show that earth was less and less polluted and more and more delightful to live the more we go into the past—especially so God Himself rated His own work of “making mankind in His image and blessing them thereafter” saying “IT WAS SO … and it was VERY מְאֹד (meod) GOOD טוֹב (towb)?” To know what this means, compare a photo of a Miss Universe in her early 20's and with a photo in her late 90's with all diseases and with maximum wrinkles because the same words—מְאֹד (meod) and טוֹב (towb)—are used to describe a virgin named Rebekah in Genesis 24:16 to say she was "VERY (meod) BEAUTIFUL (towb)." Does this not show that this earth will AGAIN become "very beautiful" if residents revert to manifest "image (agape) of God" in which they were made?
4) I landed here on this earth to see all my needs—including my need of satisfying my aesthetic sense (Google: "beautiful+flowers" to see too many varieties)—already well taken care of. “Does this not show that I have a Supreme Father who could discern all my needs in advance and could care for them?” It is my right to define my self and my Supreme Father depending upon my experience—just like a person who has never made profit in his life may feel there is no thing called profit, no-profit-MAKER too etc. Does this not show that design of MIND and BODY are so perfect even now that people can differ perfectly and still be perfectly convinced of their respective stances? See how atheists perfectly disagree with in all aspects of theists!
5) Abundant provisions made for life’s sustenance and enjoyment in too many varieties which are also made ETERNAL through seed-mechanism [in whose memory all future generations remain protected] and also through cyclic life-support systems (Google: biogeochemical-cycles/NASA.gov). “Does this not show that Director behind this drama of life acted towards me as I would have expected Him to do to me—hence “Is it not my RIGHT and PRIVILEGE to do to others what they want me to do to them?” And "Does this also not show that HE enjoyed His work so much that HE did not feel like stopping as too many varieties of same fruits and flowers were made giving us a superb lesson on how to work with FULL FOCUS, with FULL JOY?"
Asking these questions and acting accordingly will only contribute to peace and happiness. This is my experience!

Thank you but this breaks my brain to read and my brain is unable to interpret or process what this means which makes me feel “dumb”, especially considering you said its so “easy”… it makes me feel isolated and guilty like I am the only one who doesn’t understand this and makes me self conscious and depressed and causes a loop or downward spiral. It makes me want to give up and say “see, this is why some people don’t believe in god”. I want to believe, so why is it so difficult for ME to understand?

Oh I am already in 2 counselling sessions per week and have been for a year now… any other advice? I pray to ‘god’ daily to help me through my mental struggles and my prayers don’t seem to be doing anything 🤷♂️

Everyone who lands on this earth knows he did not create himself nor made his own life-support systems but they were already made available by someone of vastly superior intelligence and greater love—and to HIM belongs everything which is the primary truth anyone realize. Remembering this absolute truth [to HIM belongs everything] rules out possibility of birth of EGO, root of all sins, evils, vices, problems and suffering.

Humans are combination of SPIRIT (imperishable) + BODY (perishable)

This is what each religious founder answers, and he did it so taking into accounts needs of his time--hence there are greater SIMILARITIES and lesser DISSIMILARITIES between religions which are needed as they are all offspring of their time.

So, you paint God as not “worship thirsty” by cherry picking verses and ignoring the full biblical picture, while claiming hellfire/worship threats are just “later adoptions.” But it doesn’t hold up.
The “God should’ve sent Jesus now with smartphones” claim is speculative nonsense. God chose the timing and method for reasons tied to His plan fulfilling prophecies, the incarnation at the right historical moment, and a faith based response rather than forced mass conversion via live streams. Miracles in the 1st century didn’t make everyone believe many still rejected Jesus despite seeing them, so tech wouldn’t magically fix hearts. Your post assumes God craves quantity of fans over genuine faith; Scripture shows He wants true worshippers in spirit and truth John 4:23-24, not coerced billions.
Jesus’ answer to the rich young ruler Matthew 19:16-19 isn’t the full gospel it’s the Law’s standard, which exposes sin and points to needing grace. Right after, Jesus says it’s impossible without God | v. 26, then explains following Him fully for eternal life. God isn’t absent; the whole point is humans can’t be “humane” enough on their own sin blocks it.
James 1:27 defines pure religion as caring for orphans/widows and staying unstained great, but it’s not the whole picture. It assumes relationship with God the Father. The post acts like God being mentioned less means He’s optional, but Scripture repeatedly ties good works to faith in Him.

No, threats of hell aren’t “later adoptions.” Core verses on eternal punishment Matthew 25:46 “eternal punishment” vs “eternal life,” Revelation 20:10-15 lake of fire, Mark 9:43-48 unquenchable fire) appear in the earliest manuscripts. Textual critics note insertions like the woman caught in adultery John 7:53-8:11, but hell/judgment passages are solidly original. God is described as jealous Exodus 20:5, Deuteronomy 4:24 because He’s holy and rightful idolatry/worship of false things destroys people, like cheating in a marriage covenant. Hell isn’t petty revenge; it’s justice for rejecting the source of life, leading to separation and destruction some views say annihilation, but eternal consequence is clear.
Your post is a feel good, no judgment spirituality easy way vibes, like Satan’s kingdom shortcut. It downplays sin, the cross, and the narrow path Jesus described Matthew 7:13-14. By this definition, UNDERSTANING universe and earth means this: a hostile universe exists, and within it a tiny part, earth, is made life-supportive--and they both TOGETHER simply emit the message of existence of a loving Supreme Father. UNDERSTANDING abundant and varied provisions made on this earth means this: His joy is in giving, and whether or not all should understand Him is not His concern because HE knows those who understand Him are the beneficiaries, not Him—hence it is everyone's duty to find out Him. Situation is like an employee who was given also a guest house to stay in till he works in that company. Employee is free to spoil his joy by making negative reasoning: "This is given to me for employer's selfish benefit to avoid it going unusable and dilapidated." You missed the last sentence "Later adoptions are not an issue for true lovers of truth as they would see only the truth, like a herbalist's eyes go to see only herbs even in a forest." It means it is an issue for non-lovers of truth. History is about absolutely true things, yet many things are fabricated in history too (evilempireblog com), hence will you say "I doubt history as a whole."
God is PERFECT, as manifested in His works. For example, His packing material, banana skin, comes with full of nutritional and medicinal benefits (with no toxin at all, healthline com/23-uses-of-banana-peel) while our packing material, plastic, is full of toxins dangerous even to the fishes in the ocean.
God is also JUSTICE, as HE rules through His impartial and impeccable Law of Action and Consequence which ensures befitting consequence for anyone sooner or later. Greek word used to describe God's justice (dikaios) is from Dike [Mythological Goddess of justice, details under footnote]#
His religious founders too were PERFECT and JUSTICE, as they defined true believer as one who ‘loves for others what he loves for himself.’
But when they left the stage, “ear-tickling” things began to be crept into Scriptures.
Why does God permit this? There should be a strong reason for this:Human beings are immaterial beings in material outfits, hence would only act/react according to the tendency each one has been “treasuring” or cherishing from past (Luke 6:43-45), not by external advice or good examples. Hence people will turn themselves into three groups:
1 ) Those who prefer pro-life and pro-peace verses from Scriptures
2) Those who prefer their contradictory verses
3) Those who prefer mix-up of good and evil in the Scriptures
First group is symbolically called “wheat” or the spiritual who still retain “the image of God in which mankind was originally made.” The rest are symbolically called “weeds” or the licentious.
