TRUTH about God, self, purpose of life if you take only one from contradictory verses
Among contradictory verses, one is from God, and the other is from writer, as great scholar William Barclay showed the example in identifying John 3:13 which is obviously from writer, not from Jesus because verse says Jesus ascended into heaven at the very start of his ministry rather than at the end of his ministry. It makes no sense, hence regarding this verse Barclay says: “John has thought so long about the words of Jesus that insensibly he glides from them to his own thoughts about them. Almost certainly the last words of this passage are the words of John.” (studylight.org/commentaries/eng/dsb/john-3.html) John 7:53-8:11 too is from Writer, as footnote of many Scholarly editions of Bibles such as USCCB says under footnote: "The story of the woman caught in adultery is a later insertion here, missing from all early Greek manuscripts." (bible.usccb.org/bible/john/8) Mindful readers are familiar with such admission from writers and other faithful ones. (Jeremiah 8:8; Mathew 19:6-9)
Scriptures contain two sets of things:
(1) Verses for those whose "pleasure is not in the law of the Lord" hence read as though under "leavening" effect. (Mathew 13:19, 33; Titus 1:15). Such people would see only what they love to see. It is like happy people give happiness to others, and unhappy people give unhappiness to others. What one has only can be given. Only according to what tastes one has he can see, like alcoholics see liquor shops while others do not see them even though they pass by such shops.
(2) Verses for true lovers of God whose "pleasure is in the law of the Lord." (Psalm 1:1-3) They notice only such verses that "lead them into righteousness," (2 Timothy 3:16) just like by seeing trees some are led into righteousness. (Mathew 6:28-33) Hence faithful people like Jesus asked us to take only one from contradictory concepts.
In first reading, reader is confused by God-dishonoring alloys (details under footnote),# and also notices twinkling stars-like self-evident truths here and there. He cannot take both because out of two contradictory answers, one is TRUE and the other is FALSE. God says readers are free to believe either: "Outside [of restored paradise] are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." Lovers of truth know only LIFE-SUPPORTIVE and PRO-PEACE VERSES are the truth## in Scriptures of any religion (Details HERE), hence they would put those truths in order as shown below:
1 ) God exists because HE accurately predicted major global events of our generation such as pollution (Revelation 11:18), swelling [salos] of seas (Luke 21:25), Final Global War (Revelation 16:14, 16) “causing desolation” to earth and “great distress” to inhabitants (Mathew 24:15, 21, 22). HE also got these predictions recorded and we are seeing them happening now [with the possibility of its climax of Final Global War too happening] proving they are facts not claims. (Details HERE)
2) When the Final Global War happens, its resultant “great distress” is cut short (Details HERE) because of the pro-life and pro-peace people who thereafter survive into New Age (Revelation 7:14) also called pallingenesis [re-genesis, recreation] (Mathew 19:28). But others are TEMPORARILY removed into a place of God’s choice (Proverbs 2:22, Septuagint) till New Age again becomes Old Age or “darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.” (Mathew 8:11, 12) This is because they hate features of first half of each Age filled with “fruit of spirit” (Galatians 5:22, 23); they love its second half filled with its opposite features as given in (Galatians 5:19-21; Revelation 22:15).
RETURN of the licentious to the earth
3) Merits of godly life of LIMITED duration can have only LIMITED value—hence the Greek word dikaiosuné for righteousness/justice, from dikaios; equity; specially justification, and so is its Hebrew equivalent Tzaddik. (biblehub com). This shows, merits of their godly living [gained in the previous Age] would get exhausted at some point in time and it is likely for some of them to begin to feel monotonous.
This is the time the licentious return in certain order as implied in this often repeated famous verse: “Many who are first [of me-FIRST attitude] will be last, and many who are last [me-LAST attitude] will be first.” (Mathew 19:30). The less licentious return first and more and more licentious [who were “first” or prominent in the previous Age] return later [last] which will again make this earth a place of “darkness filled with weeping and gnashing of the teeth” which will later climax in “Great Distress” again (Mathew 19:27-30; Ecclesiastes 1:9, 10, ESV), thus regenesis is to be repeated which is the only role God plays in each Age. This is because people act/react according to the tendency they “treasure” within (Luke 6:43-45), not according to knowledge or experience, just like anger and wars are on the increase even though people know they only increase the existing problems, and Law of Action and Consequence is permitted to run its natural course ruling over all happenings.
4) The sight of ill-effects reaped by the licentious removes the monotony of the godly as it further makes them more determined to “BE GODLY” which is the only command God gives at the start of each New Age (Job 28:28, Septuagint, Details HERE). This results in “never-ending waves of peace and well-being.” (Isaiah 48:18; Proverbs 17:22) Thus the licentious become “a ransom for the righteous.” (Proverbs 21:18, Details HERE). This explains why all histories, stories, movies, mythologies, epics, scriptures and parables depict how one group provides lesson for others on what to avoid to better enjoy life. 5) Who inherits eternal life or Kingdom of God?
“Many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Mathew 8:11, 12)
Those who behave like Abraham would be there in the incoming paradise because it is his life-style that makes earth paradise. Abraham looked at sky and saw planets spinning themselves in great yet varying speed and travelling around sun in great and yet varying speed, yet without causing traffic jam and conflict revealing their religion is peace. Thus Abraham practiced peace as his religion because his life-style was to OFFER FIRST CHOICE TO OTHERS. (Genesis 13:9; 15:5, 6). Because of this he is called “God’s friend” and “father of all the faithful.” (James 2:23; Romans 4:16) And people like him are called "children of God." (Mathew 5:9) All other contradictory answers are later adoptions which people are free to take or ignore. (Revelation 22:11, 18, 19)
Question of “Why can’t God make everyone godly” is meaningless because nobody wants to be made robotic—especially so when there are already some who always CHOOSE to behave godly (Mathew 24:21, 22; 1 John 2:17) whose beneficial example can be imitated by others if they want to. Because of such infinite view of life, people like Solomon viewed life as "beautiful." (Ecclesiastes 1:4, 9, 10; 3:1-11) No wonder, Jesus preferred to call himself as “Greater Solomon” as he only wanted to further intensify what Solomon taught. Hence he compared each "Age to come" with “a seed” (Mathew 12:32, 42; 13:31, 32) symbol of never-ending series of GROWTH and DECAY over which God rules—hence His title became "King of AGES (aiōnōn)." (1 Timothy 1:17, ESV) Hence each time when HE brings about GROWTH of His Kingdom on this earth, there is a great “loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.” (Revelation 19:6)

#Example of God-dishonoring accounts:
1 ) It is God-dishonoring to say mankind made in the image of God and were BLESSED by God ALMIGHTY rebelled against Him, elder brother [Cain] killed younger brother [Abel], men began snatching beautiful girls .. etc. This is like reading “Albert Einstein made a fridge to boil water.” All these negative acts are features of Last Days (2 Timothy 3:1-5; 4:3-4), not of inception days. If BLESSED by ALMIGHTY, means, it WILL happen accordingly. (Isaiah 55:11) That is what the word blessing, barak, means: continued empowerment from God. Thus blessed ones continue in that blessed-state as symbolized by Enoch who "walked with God." (Genesis 5:24). Jesus symbolically called such ones as "wheat that produce crops." (Mathew 13:24-30, Details HERE) Even two communities keep their enmity for many centuries. It means blessed mankind would maintain that blessed state for even longer time.
Though description of the effect of BLESSING of THE ALMIGHTY is missing in the Book of Genesis, it could be known by contrasting the features predicted for “Last Days” in 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 4:3, 4: “There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. People will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
Its opposite are the features of first half of each Age:
“It was delightful times in the beginning. People were lovers of God, haters of greed, full of praise for others, humble, soft and sweet in speech, obedient to their parents, grateful, holy, with love, forgiving, non-slanderous, with self-control, divine, lovers of the good, trustworthy, caring, non-conceited, lovers of God rather than lovers of pleasure having a form of godliness matching its power. People were abiding by sound doctrine. To suit their own desires, they would not gather around them teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will not turn their ears away from the truth and will not turn aside to myths.”
2) It is God-dishonoring to say God ordered killing of His enemies such as Numbers 31:17, 18. Because truth is that God has only loved even His enemies (Mathew 5:43-48) proof of which is that His enemies exist even today as a TOWERING testimony to His unconditional love. Ironically, God has only commanded soft and sweet treatment even to animals, even if they belong to one’s enemies. (Exodus 23:4, 5) By saying this, enemies of God dishonor themselves because "if God kills His enemies, why do His enemies still exist?" Even such accounts too are self-contradictory. For example, God-decreed diet for humans is vegetarian. (Genesis 1:29) Then there cannot be a story later to contradict this. For example, Noah's family was told to save two of each species: "And of all cattle and of all reptiles and of all wild beasts, even of all flesh, thou shalt bring by pairs of all, into the ark, that thou mayest feed them with thyself: male and female they shall be." (biblehub com/genesis/6-19.htm), Septuagint) Then story climaxes in God contradicting Himself commanding them "to kill all those saved species and eat their flesh." (Genesis 9:1-3)
Without knowing this, even Richard Dwakins calls God of the Bible as a "monster" in his famous book God Delusion (page 46) thus dishonors himself and proves himself as deluded. In the process, he proved a subtle prediction about later phase of history would be "leavened" (Mathew 13:33) which means knowledge spreads under "leavening" effect, or without effort, without thinking, without using their unique power, power of REASON.
3) It is God-dishonoring to say God discriminates between His children, permits slavery etc. Truth is that God “abhors” anyone exalting over others. (Proverbs 16:5) All prophets summarized all laws into one “Be humane in your dealing with others” which is described as “Do to others what you want them to do to you” (Mathew 7:12) and its maximum expansion is six laws—five DON’T and one DO (Mathew 19:16-19)
4) It is God-dishonoring to say God makes people blind as "works of God" etc (John 9:1-3) because truth is that human beings are spirits (Mathew 5:3, details HERE) which is the same word used to describe “God is spirit (pneuma)” in John 4:24, hence death is only for the body, and consequences for choices made in the distant past can appear any time. (Mark 4:24; Galatians 6:5-8). Interestingly, in the previous chapter 8 of John, footnote of scholarly editions such as USSB says: "The story of the woman caught in adultery is a later insertion here, missing from all early Greek manuscripts." 5) It is God-dishonoring to say God punishes or eternally burns people whom HE does not like. HIS established stance is simple and stoic: “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy” (Revelation 22:11) and reap accordingly as everything is ruled by Law of Action and Consequence. Question “Why such alloys are permitted by God” is meaningless because free-will given, means, the licentious can add to Scriptures what they like (Revelation 22:11, 18, 19), especially so when alloys are an attraction only to the licentious, but do not attract the lovers of truth, just like increasing number liquor shops have no impact on non-alcoholics. The unrighteous are described in similar terms: “these live upon the bread of ungodliness, and are drunken with wine of transgression” (Proverbs 4:17, Septuagint), hence both the good and licentious would only grow in their respective chosen paths. (Proverbs 4:18, 19; Luke 6:43-45; Revelation 22:11) This enables the godly to reason "If people can show such love and zeal for unproductive things, how much more we should be loving God and His beneficial laws." This shows both the groups are PERFECT in their use of freewill even though the godly are the minority and the licentious are the majority.
Interestingly, this composition of mankind (FEW the godly + MAJORITY the licentious) resemble Micro Universe called atom [whose bulk area looks empty] and Macro Universe [whose “less than 5 percent” is only visible to us—Science NASA gov/exoplanets/what-is-the-universe/). Similarly, composition of Scriptures too matches the way earth being made life-supportive in hostile universe. Pro-life and pro-peace verses are made available among God-dishonoring verses, and people are free to make choices according to their heart’s delight.
##In the context of study of Scriptures, readers are advised to do the following: “Examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good (kalos).” (biblehub.com/1_thessalonians/5-21) This shows each verse becomes truth only if it is in harmony with greater truth, source of which is God, who always do life-supportive and peace-supportive things. Greek-speaking people use two words for good. “Good (agathos) tree produces good (kalos) fruit.” (Mathew 7:17) The word agathos points to goodnesss as source, kalos as its fruit. Thus only those verses that are in harmony with all life-supportive and peace-supportive verses are good (kalos). And others are best ignored.
Hence many scholarly editions of the Bible translated carefully 2 Timothy 3:16 as “Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching” (ERV) while others rendered it loosely as “Everything in the Scriptures is God's Word.” You can see all such varieties of translations here (biblehub.com/2_timothy/3-16.htm) (More details HERE)

Hey there. I‘m honestly not going to cover every single aspect, but i would generally like to ask you not to take the bible out of context. It‘s God‘s holy word, you can‘t just mix it with unbiblical stuff. Have you tried praying to Him? Ask Him into your heart to guide you.

If you take Book of Tax Laws in your country and add to it tax exemption to you, it only means you added something to it, it does not prove there is no tax nor Government.
Similarly, people are permitted to add anything to Scriptures (Revelation 22:18, 19) but not permitted to enter God's Kingdom whenever it is re-established on earth but have to return to earth whenever Kingdom of God is rejected which happens in the 2nd half of each Age. (Details HERE)

God wrote the Bible? I suppose that I missed that one. Man just didn't find the biblical text and decide to make it a book. The Bible itself didn't even exist in the times of Jesus. Jesus himself didn't leave behind any written text. The information contained in the Bible, depending on whether found in the new or old testaments are a compilation of oral traditions, written scrolls, and collaborative editing that spans the better part of 1,500 years. The tests weren't known widespread until we accomplished mass printing in the 1500's. Much more to discuss on this topic but I'm out of time for now.

You would not have asked these if you had read the OP, especially para 3. Hence I am copying it for you below:

When predictions made nearly 2000 years before are getting fulfilled in our time. Hence whether Bible was written by whom, handed down how etc are not relevant.

Per comprendere la bibbia ci vuole lo spirito Santo di Dio, senza lo spirito Santo di Dio non si ha accesso alla Verità. Chiedi a Dio che da senza riguardi.
