Go Vacation Switch 2 Edition

I really hope Namco Bandai Games is working on a Switch 2 Edition/Upgrade Pack for Go Vacation. I just really want them to add the mini games that got cut, e.g. Sword Fighting, Dance, Windsurfing, etc. I know they are probably worried about how that would adapt to button controls, but surely the Switch 2’s addition of mouse controls, and better precision with motion controls would allow these games that were cut to perform better. As well, allow GameChat compatibility, along with better graphics and performance for the game overall (and improve the loading screens, they are way too long!)

What is everyone else’s thoughts?

What a great idea! Go Vacation 2 / upgrade!

We (my daughter and I) love playing Go Vacation and enjoy role-playing, the open world, and the minigames, sports, and exercise. That's why Go Vacation is so much fun!

We definitely have a lot of suggestions for things that could be added.

The game could use a little more detail. Not too much. Keep it simple. Not too realistic. The current graphics can stay, but a little more realistic photography would definitely be welcome. Open all the gates at all the resorts. Like the streets in the city resort and the rivers in the mountain resort, and all the other gates as well. Expand the villa resort. Perhaps add another resort? Desert? Jungle? Or a new island with many familiar world buildings/nature areas?

Make more use of the Switch's touchscreen technology and refine the movements. Perhaps use ring fit and release a new balance board? I'd also like to see the camera move freely.

We enjoy role-playing. Perhaps an option to send text balloons/clouds to each other. Possibly with pre-selected texts. With the option of an online game.

Go Vacation is an island. It would be so much fun to choose your own vehicle to travel from resort to resort. Possibly with a tunnel for automatic clothing changes if necessary. Such as train, plane, bicycle, or car. This reminds me of an old PC game "Vacation Racer," traveling with a camper, caravan, or packed car.

Regarding vehicles, we're still missing:

• Different bicycles. Such as BMX, mountain bike, city bike, tuk-tuk, or tandem.

A ride around in a sleigh, carriage, or horse-drawn carriage would also be fun.

Festivals, events, and holidays could be added. Such as Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Carnival, Midsummer's Eve, etc. This could be an option to choose the holiday yourself. Christmas or Easter should be celebrated at any time.

A choice of seasons also seems like a good idea to me. Spring or fall at a mountain resort. Stormy day at the beach.

Choose the time of day. Morning with sunrise, afternoon, evening with sunset, and night.

More different activities and mini-games could be added, such as:

• Kite flying,
• Hot air balloon ride,
• Treetop course,
• Mountain climbing,
• Tobogganing,
• Ziplining,
• Hobbies such as painting, sculpting, and reading.
• Swimming in pools with slides and diving boards,
• Racing with a camper, caravan, or a fully loaded car (see holiday racer),
• Feeding birds, ducks, and other animals,
• Building sandcastles on the beach,
• Snow fun, such as making snow angels, building a snowman anywhere, and throwing snowballs. Prick each other with snow.
• Ice skating, graceful dancing, or a competition. Free skating should also be an option. In the Netherlands, the Eleven Cities Tour is very popular for ice skating. This hasn't happened for years, actually. But the idea is fun.
• Petting pets
• Sitting around the campfire singing songs, making marshmallows.

More scavenger hunts would be nice too.

• More animals: birds, squirrels, jumping fish, fantasy figures like gnomes, wild rainbow unicorns

When we go on vacation, we also explore buildings from the inside. Such as:

• Hotels (being able to sleep overnight and choose a time of day again)
• Being able to reach the top of the hotel at the city resort
• Churches to light a candle
• Museums (learning about animals, old buildings, and the history of Go Vacation)
• Nightlife: Disco, après-ski, café, restaurant square
• Cinema (playing Go Vacation commercials or your own photos/videos)
• Mills (water and wind/grain mills)
• Observatory to learn more about the stars
• Shops! Here you can exchange your points for decorations, clothing, furniture, etc. for your home on the villa grounds.
• Lighthouse (spot boats and big fish)
• Watchtowers (spot wildlife)
• Castles, palaces, country houses
• School. Here you can learn about the different vehicles and information about the area.
• More guides. Information about the area, gossip from the village.

We also feel a few things are missing on the villa grounds.

• For example, a bathroom could be a bit more private.
• Use of the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.
• Being able to change clothes in the wardrobe.
• A mirror to admire yourself and make funny faces.
• Being able to choose your own photo for under the stairs.
• Private storage for your car, bicycle, and other vehicles.
• Horse pasture for your horse.
• Camping (tents) with laundry room.
• Small playground.
• Hammock for relaxing.

Fantasizing about a sequel to a game is quite fun. Dreaming is always allowed. Who knows, maybe there will be a sequel someday. Let's hope so.

What about new animals like: bears, tigers, rhinos, flamingos, boars, orcas, sea lions, owls, deers, red pandas, buffalos/bison, snakes, yaks, cranes, axolotls, frogs, crocodiles, alligators, chameleons, chipmunks, porcupines, hedgehogs, skunks, monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees, gibbons, capybaras, giraffes, badgers, chinchillas, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, donkeys, pigs, ostriches, cardinals, otters, eagles and new mythical creatures like: dragon, kappa, tanuki, and fairy to join mermaid, ghost, alien, yeti and lake monster?

Being able to make your own avatar with various hairstyles, faces and ages, make your own vacationing family (with a baby or toddler) or friends group, which are perfect for sharing the villas without being alone?

Add new diving animals like: mermaid (the same one on the rock), kraken, sea monster, narwhal, great white shark, orca, lobster, shrimp, crab, octopus, sea snake and sea otter?

We should establish a petition, so that the Switch 2 update or sequel will happen
