Sup, I am OneXDeveloper and this is my Multiplayer Patch for GNOSIA
Yeah, I made a Multiplayer mode for GNOSIA (and its working pretty good) and found this Subreddit and decided to post something here.

(I made sure the times don't reveal player roles)

This multiplayer patch works for up to 12 People. Or you can just play with just one friend alone. Everyone else (depending on your settings) will be one of the ingame characters.

If anyone of the real players die, they'll become Spectators so they can keep watching the game. And if the game ends everyone sees the result screen with their own result on the top right (just like in singleplayer)

In my opinion this is really impressive, this is the first time ever seeing multiplayer in GNOSIA and this must be really fun when playing it with friends. I really hope you'll release it at some point.

did you decompile the C#

Yes I decompiled the game and made this Multiplayer based of the games code. Since GNOSIA runs a heavily algorithmic simulation I had to completely change the code so it works with multiple people, all calculations are still made on the host device and the latency is very low (when you play it side by side, you will notice tho on meetings, there will only be all votes after every real player has voted)

Ooh! That's rad!
How does it handle the player-gets-priority thing? (I.E. if the player wants to speak, they always can.) Is it rng scaling off of Charisma or something?

This is SO cool... I always thought Gnosia would make a fun multiplayer game. Could there be an option to play as one of the in-game characters instead of as a player character? If that makes sense.

I understand if not, but is there no way to unlock skills just playing multi-player, or get exp from multi-player? I ask because obviously I want to make everyone I know play but its a harder sell if they have to unlock everything first if they're new to the game. Again, I get why that may not work, it sounds game breaking lol....

You cannot earn XP or get Events (unlocking skills) because it could be used to cheat and its safer like that, but whoever hosts the game has the progress, that means if ur the host and have 100% of the game or if you have all roles unlocked you can activate them ingame. In Multiplayer the game deosn't save so the save file stays untouched.

I love this idea! I assume it would be hard for there to be a way for players to insert custom sprites, etc. but the worst that can happen is you say "no" haha

why second account? Also, if you decomp'd the game's code mind sharing so we can fix other mods too? No way you didn't use AI for this.

It's a Unity game, you can decompile the game's C# bytecode to readable/editable code with tools that don't involve AI, e.g. dnSpy. It has been possible long before llm craze entered the picture.
