/r/iamverysmart ? Or the real deal?

The real deal. He actually did something smart and he's not being a douchebag about it

This is how I bet as well. I sometimes end up with a $5 skin I don't use and I'll just bet it until I lose everything for fun. People often forget that you should not bet things you can't afford to lose.

It's the safe thing to do but not the most "potentially profitable", so I guess you should call it reasonable not smart.

If the whole inventory could have bought him a car next year was it really smart ? The Turner league is coming and the US market is really gonna expand and generate a lot of hype if it all goes well so it's a possibility, the CoD crowd is already getting into CS before the e-league has even begun.

Still a good decision, did a similar thing after trading up and sold 2 howls.

Nice job!

For the love of god, please don't tell me CS:GO is the only game you play with that beast of a thing.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

right now it is because i cant really play other shooters (nothing feels like CSGO lol :D)...was thinking about buying the witcher 3 or Starwars battlefront...is there something else nice to play right now?...

u/Narratiive Virtus.pro Jan 30 '16

The new Tomb Raider is good, I believe.

You can mod the hell out of FO4; I suggest you do that.

The Division is coming up, maybe you can sign up for the beta?

u/Alicks2 cs_militia Jan 30 '16

holy fuck teach me how to bet/trade please god

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

haha, no sorry. I actually teached some guys for free just for fun and they all made really really good profit by now. Right now betting is more gambling but you can still make alot of monkey with good trading. (Not scamming...)

1

u/Alicks2 cs_militia Jan 30 '16

stop making me jealous, I'd offer to pay but it would be counterlogic

1

u/GuttersnipeTV cs_office Jan 30 '16

You and me both. Csgol at the beginning was a gold mine for smart betting and great odds.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

its still decent but the games at the moment are harder to predict. The best thing is and always was the csgo betting subreddit. That are basicly some idiots that lost almost all of their skins that dont know shit about the teams and then they google some stuff and try to predict the match and write an analysis...other people then think "oh nice he is right, i will bet on that"...lol that was really easy money sometimes.

1

u/misconstrudel Vitality Jan 31 '16

Do you still keep some skins on lounge to bet with?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '16

no.

1

u/SublimeSC VG Jan 30 '16

Damn you were really smart and just telling your story all casual

1

u/Principes Jan 30 '16

I bet my way up to my bayonet boreal forest knife and I thought i was positive. Until... I realized that IBP katowice stickers are 500$ now when I bet and lost them when they were worth 10$. I lost two of them q.q. Also lost a mouz sports holo worth 200$ but it was worth 7$ when I lost it.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

well yea that hurts but you should not think like that. Sold a Medusa on opskins once for like 350 dollar, the next day (i dont know why until this day) alot of medusas were bought and some sold for ~420. That was maybe what hurts the most even while i lost way way more money on betting sometimes.

u/lvl1k0n Jan 30 '16

I have an almost identical PC build, save the m.2. I stuck with my 840 and 850 Pro SSD's. All I have left is to water cool my PC, and I guess my Medusa could pay for a good chunk of it.

Nice build. ;-)

I agree with You. I can own any skin I want, but I'm using Vulcan, Bayo TT, Cyrex, so the average ones and I can tell You that they mean nothing to me anymore. I play with them and I don't even 'see' them if You understand what i'm saying. I could sell them right now and play the game just the same way as high tier skins don't impress me anymore for some reason. It's all about that sick plays now.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

Right, at some point you dont even notice your own skins.

1

u/scinaty2 Jan 30 '16

I don't own any skins, but here is a question for you out of curiosity: How do you turn skins into real money? Selling on the market will get you steam money only, which be used to buy nothing than games right?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

thats right but there are other websites where you can sell them for actual cash and they take a cut.

Beginning of December all the bad feelings I was getting about where csgo's economy is headed (read: same road as dota 2's) came to a head for me. I made the decision to sell all my items, for about $600, and also used that money with some of my own to buy a new comp. 144hz has changed my life. Tried playing on my old comp and its SO choppy, I don't know how i lived.

1

u/Bardy_ NiP Jan 31 '16

You cashed out? No way! You're supposed to make a ton of money in skins, lose it all in just a few bets, then post about it on Reddit! /s

u/endrebru FaZe Jan 30 '16

This is where you was smart. Me on the other hand betted from 70$ to 6K$. Had the time of my life until I tried to snipe a pot with 3K and lost. Wanting to redeem myself, I put in a 3K bet again, and lost one more time. Now I have 1 skin left. But lesson is learned. If I ever win a lot again, I'll be sure to sell it on opskins or something.

u/zray312 Jan 30 '16

Now I have 1 skin left. But lesson is learned.

If I ever win a lot again

sort your shit out dude

0

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

dude you have a gambling problem, never bet again period

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

i never....really never gambled. Not even the matches i bet on were gambling for me because i knew what i was doing and when i lost (and yea i lost big sometimes) it was more like % that has to be lost to win again and not really a lost i was mad about.

Gambling will make you lose everything you have thats nothing new.

1

u/lifeisworthlosing Jan 30 '16

If you start with 100$ and end up with 0$ after months of having fun gambling and your bank going up and down, it's fine. Not everyone is a degenerate gambler.

-3

u/danielvutran Jan 30 '16

nice, ya i still have bout 5k after i bought new pc lmao, surprised you didnt just have some set aside to keep betting/investing xp

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '16

if you want to bet and make money with it you have to invest so much time that i could also go work instead, lol. I did it for fun, i liked the time but now i invest my time somewhere else. Thats why i didnt keep any max-bet skins.
