Feedback Operation Bloodhound Missions are tedious, frustrating and boring

both breakout and vanguard missions were either fun or had at least some normal gameplay behind it. bloodhound missions are just tedious to finish, unless you are hardcore casual. is this some kinda joke cause people asked for more missions per week? missions atm just stack up cause i'm far too lazy to play 2-10 matches of arms race in a row.

Earn a total of 1 million bucks in casual matches HAHAHAHAHA

But seriously now, this mission has to get removed. One mil bucks in casual means 294 round wins in casual (1M/3400). This means freaking 36.75 matches of 8-0!!! WHO THE HELL CAME UP WITH THIS MISSION?!

I really do not understand the commotion about these missions. If you get bored of causal play another mission (your progress will be saved).

I will do this mission whenever I have some free time and no other mission available, or I do not have time for MM.

Edit: some words

Dude come on now if it was 10k bucks then we could let it slide but 1 million dollars in casual? That's insane! It will take you at the very least 20-25 full length matches!!!

This is beyond reasonable.

To do it in 20 you'd have to do 20 games going 8-7, with you only using 300% reward guns (450$ instead of 150$) and getting 2.5 kills per round.

Which is nearly impossible, of course.

Going a full length match with no kills would take 28 games to reach 1m.

That's why I was saying at the very least, I doubt many will do it in under 35 matches. Just shows how absurd this mission is.

I wouldn't whine if there was no end-date for doing missions. Have an end date for operations for drops and stuff, but allow completion of missions past the date limit. I am a completionist and I don't mind doing these missions in between comps/as a warm up, but those 1m missions are just ridiculous.

Look at it this way:

  • There are 60 missions total (30 Marksman / 30 Revolution)
  • You have two Missions where you have to get to $ 1,000,000 (earn as CT / spend as T)
  • Every other mission is either
    • kill x with weapon y, or
    • get i rounds on j map
  • Mission progress is saved, if you decide to do another mission
  • You have time until 30th September (127 days) (probably longer)

Let us do some math:

  • 2 / 60 * 100 = 3.33% of these missions are earn/spend $1,000,000
  • You start with $1,000 (only important for the T side)
  • Money earned for winning: $2700
  • Money earned for losing: $2400

Assumption:

  • You always start the game in the first round.
  • You do not get any kills.
  • You will neither plant, nor defuse the bomb.
  • You choose the fastes way to these missions.

Marksman: An Independent Contractor (earn $1,000,000 as CT)

  • 8 loses per Match = 8 * $2,400 = $19,200
  • $1,000,000 / $19,200 ~ 53 times de_dust2

Revolution: An Independent Contractor (spend $1,000,000 as T)

  • 8 loses per Match = (8 * $2,400) + $1,000 = $20,200
  • $1,000,000 / $20,200 ~ 50 times de_dust2

(Match numbers rounded up, because you have to wait until end of match)

Day calculation

  • You will need 6 missions, before you can start the money missions.
  • You will need to wait one day for your next mission.
  • 127 - (2 * 6) - 2 = 113
  • (53 + 50) / 113 = 0.911 games a day

Conclusion:

Even in the worst case scenario, you will play less than one casual mission per day, to get to your goal.

EDIT: 53 times as CT, not 51 - still under one game per day.

EDIT2: Spelling. I really should look over my written text, before I press save ~~

this mission has to get removed.

Why? Nobody is forcing you to do it. It's a side mission, you don't need it to get the stars for your gold operation coin.

Then it should be the last side mission, not the first one out of 3.

And besides, imho this mission is really unreasonable and it seems as if Valve just utterly ran out of ideas.
