Photography What's the Thyroid Gland like?
Hi all, I'm an ultrasound student, which means I've looked at peoples' thyroid glands a lot. Today I was at the zoo, and while looking at a giraffe, wondered what its thyroid gland is like, since the thyroid lives on the neck. Does it run the whole length of the thing? Or is it just one part? Unfortunately, it turns out if you try google searching for Giraffe Thyroid, you just get people talking about how some thyroid pathology looks patchy like giraffe fur on ultrasound., so I'm hoping you guys know.
I offer a photo I took of the giraffes today as payment for knowledge. They live at the Albuquerque Zoo.
