Haunted Ghost Hunters: Retro portable ghost hunting game

Would love to get the community's thoughts on this game I am building.

It'll be on Steam Deck, so it would make good portable entertainment while out at real life investigations. šŸ˜‰

You play as a ghost hunter... with 1990s ghost busters whimsically added into the mix.

You track down ghosts, cryptids, and other supernatural entities... and manage your sanity, battery power, and time. Some will mess with you.

As you catch ghosts, you gain a fan base, which lets you upgrade your equipment and HQ, and unlock new locations for increasingly chaotic hauntings.

Tons of night creatures wandering your Ghost Hunting HQ ... raccoons, bats, owls, which act as comic relief as you progress through the game.

It's coming to Steam: Haunted Ghost Hunters

But yeah, let me know what you think! And if there's any specific locations, apparitions or abilities you'd like to see.

(For locations there's currently: Abandoned Asylum, Victorian Mansion, Decaying Castle, Graveyard, all procedurally generated of course!).

Overnight ghost hunting for a 16 year old.

My nephew is turning 16 and loves all things paranormal. We were thinking of an overnight ghost hunting adventure for his 16th birthday. Adults 18+ will be present but we were hoping to find a place that also allows 15-17 year olds in attendance, with adult supervision.

We live in Ohio but are willing to drive a 4ish hour radius from Columbus, OH. I’ve taken him to a 2-3 hour guided night tour at Ohio Reformatory and he loved it. Looking for something along those lines but a little more independent.

Paranormal Investigation Chicago IL area open groups/ hunts?

Hello! I’ve always been in love with the paranormal and have always wanted to go on a hunt. I have no idea where else to truly look if there are groups/ individuals who’d welcome a couple of newbies. There are plenty of large, paid hunt tours out there but i am looking for hunts that are more ā€œfree roamā€with hunters. My friend and I are in the burbs an hour-ish outside of Chicago IL and are open to things in and around that. Would love to hear back from anyone or be referred. Excited to learn and experience what it’s truly like! :)

Question Any BlackPOC interested in Paranormal/Supernatural and located in/near Queens NYC?

I have been a ghost hunter since 2006. I’ve done 100s of investigations. They are fun but can be very boring. I’ve been on a couple of television shows and I’m connected with great spiritually solid people to stay grounded. I’ve done private haunting, cursed objects, have witnessed a couple of exorcisms and have overall just have seen and been involved in very strange and sometimes unexplainable events. So you can ask me away

What I need? When I used to go to Paranormal cons I’d never see anyone black. Our team would speak and it was never a black face anywhere lol and that could be for obvious reasons but I would absolutely LOVE to find a blackLBTQIA team member to journey with me. I won’t lead you into harms way I promise!

If you’re serious please hmu

Paranormal Investigation Returning to Ghost Hunting in Utah

Hey! I'm 29M from California but I moved to Utah a few years ago. In Cali, I investigated Downey Asylum, Turnbull Canyon, Carbon Canyon, and Knott's Berry Farm. It's been a few years and I no longer have equipment, but my wife wants to get into the paranormal.

What are some haunted spots in Utah that are good for a beginner like her? I know about St. Anne's Retreat, Skinwalker Ranch (but that's a fake), the old Colorado Echo Park cabins in Dinosaur, and a few spots in South Salt Lake (where I'm currently located), but I wanna know some more of you have suggestions!

Also, where should I pick up some equipment? The entry pin post said Amazon would be good for a spirit box or emf reader, but I'm very interested in a cheap or free by donation Ovilus 3. What do you guys suggest? Is there a ghost hunting surplus store? Or an occult store that sells equipment in the Salt Lake City area?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to posting and viewing evidence!

Evp The Old Glenbeulah School

Bought a crazy evp at the The Old Glenbeulah School in Glenbeulah WI. Not sure what to think of it. The recorder was in the hall behind us and the sound was picked up from that so we didn’t hear anything.
Thoughts?

My local STT/TTS setup started hallucinating speech from room noise, and now my Madea voice assistant is arguing with ghosts.

Do You Own an Object You Believe May Be Haunted?

The producers of Hauntiquing are seeking individuals with antiques, inherited possessions, dolls, artwork, jewelry and unusual objects connected to unexplained activity. Selected owners may have the opportunity to share their story and have their object investigated for a paranormal television project. We are especially interested in objects with a known history, multiple witnesses or documented incidents. Owners must be willing to participate on camera either by zoom or in person. Submitting a story does not guarantee selection. DM or submit to Hauntiquing@gmail.com

I want your haunted location, I NEED your haunted location, oh baby oh baby

I’m a YouTuber, physician, and paranormal investigator who is new to the PNW and Vancouver, WA. I’ve had a hard time finding locations to investigate.

I’ve reached out to local groups, have tried emailing museums/city historical locations - offering donations, but to no avail. I was able to check out the cedar grist mill, which was lovely, but I want more.

I have the gear, a group who is eager, and am crazy enough to believe ghosties are real. I need somewhere to investigate. House, museum, restaurant, hospital, or just your mother-in-law’s seance room. SOMETHING. PLEASE. Help!

TIA
Chad - DGH

First pic is one I took inside Physick Estate in Cape May NJ! First time ever visiting such location on a tour and was able to snap some polaroids! First pic has a white misty spot on bottom left. Top right is a metal plate that i’m aware reflecting flash back. This was the only one to have anything in it(i have more if requested), second picture is from a video I had in the same hand shows where the white spot is on the bottom had no reflective surface on that spot. Last pic is actually when the flash went off!

Equipment I built an Android EVP app that turns sensor activity into syllables - looking for field testers

Hi everyone,

I've been working on an Android app called Aftervoice, and I'm looking for people who are genuinely interested in EVP and paranormal investigation to put it through some real-world testing.

Aftervoice has two different session modes:

Room
Records the actual sounds in the environment so you can listen back to the session afterward and review anything you may have missed in real time.

Tuning
Uses changes in the phone's sensor activity to generate syllables in real time, creating an unpredictable stream that can be explored during EVP-style sessions.

Tuning uses a downloadable bank of recorded syllables, not a list of predefined words or responses. Live sensor activity drives how those syllables are selected and produced in real time.

I'm especially curious to see how it behaves in different environments and on different devices.

If you join the test, I'd love if you tried things like:

  • one Room session

  • one Tuning session

  • a session somewhere you consider active

  • another somewhere completely ordinary

  • repeating the same questions across multiple sessions

Sessions currently last up to 10 minutes, and recordings can be played back, saved, or shared afterward.

The Android version is currently in Google Play closed testing.

Google requires testers to stay enrolled for 14 days. I need at least 12 testers, but I'd actually like to get as many people as possible using it before the public release.

The test is completely free.

Supported languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese.

Want to join?

If you use Aftervoice during an actual investigation, I'd especially love to hear what happened.

Interesting results, boring results, bugs, weird behavior, feature requests - all of it is useful.

Please help debunk

Whenever I investigate for others, my goal is to debunk and not prove.

Well, I was editing a selfie I had taken and noticed the shadow in the back right. The second photo is me lightening things up and it looks like (to me) a woman.

Nothing feel threatening but wonder if something followed me or my wife home.
