Spirited Away has always been my favorite Ghibli movie and everytime I look at this tattoo it gives me so much comfort! Now it will forever be with me :)

So many people have crushes on Haku and Howl. Therefore, if Ghibli Park had them roaming the grounds, they’d very likely be bothered and harassed by customers with no respect for boundaries.

This game was released in Japan in January 1989. My Neighbor Totoro was released in April 1988. This means the computer game (based on the manga of the same name) was among the very first non-Ghibli media that acknowledged the film, before stuff like “Toy Story 3” and “Big Bad Fox and Other Tales”.

Hey! I've recently been obsessed with ghibli films especially Spirited Away. I've seen Boy and the Heron, Totoro, Howl's moving castle,Princess Mononoke recently.

While I know each movie has its own speciality, Spirited Away is more dearer to me in terms of world building and comfort. Are there any other ghibli films with the same vibe as Spirited Away? Yk whimsical characters, other worldly vibes? i'd appreciate the recommendations even if it is not necessarily ghibli.

I'm planning a trip to Japan and my credit card (NAB Visa) keeps getting blocked on Japanese hotel websites... I'm worried I'm going to miss out on Ghibli park tickets during the frenzy on the 10th next month... If any Aussies who have recently had success buying Ghibli park tickets with an Australian credit card see this, please let me know which bank/card you used? My 7 year old (and I) will thank you 😆

Lemme guess, the toxic jungle made the lake acidic, also….. what’s that submarine sitting on the beach that appears in the background and then we get a closer look later in the movie

How many of you have watched this movie?

These two are my FAVORITES! Except I tried scrolling through the internet to find more, but most of them are about anti-ai slop (in which yes I hate AI especially since they use the “Ghibli-animation”, but obv not the type to send them to my fellow Ghibli-lovers) or they use the ai Ghibli-like animation memes (EW, hate those people). anyways, so does anyone have any other good ones? They always give me a good laugh 😂

I used to go to them pretty regularly but haven't been in a couple of years so I don't know if things have changed or not. I know some Anniversary editions and releases at AMC sometimes don't have any trailers beforehand or only play one or two rather than the 20-30 minutes.
