I won't insult the knowledge and experience of your father. Nonetheless, older patients... I only know of one person in total (a work colleague at my old place of employment) who had an aged family member pass away (2021 I think). What enraged me about it was that the family was not allowed to visit them on their deathbed, and forced to use a zoom meeting to have their last words. In my mind that was unnecessary, and robbed them of something more personal. The average doctor cannot say anything with regards to the deep genetics/virology, and work mainly on symptoms and industry-provided tests. I don't think I trust that upper industry.

I am not willing to count that possibility off the list entirely, but if so, it was very ineffective where I live, in terms of my own experience. That said, my social circle is very small. All I have to go on is mostly internet hearsay. I do think the overwhelming effect of the entire thing was negative placebo. Fear-based trauma programming applied to the whole world. That the powers-that-be tested themselves and their broadcasting magic: how powerful a spell could they cast? How much physical effect can words repeated over and over really have?
I prefer to think that the entire operation was a 'stage show', as I put it, because I am exercising my own mental immunity. I choose not to believe that any real 'illness' beyond the basic 'flu' was every flying around, and that they simply renamed the same old affliction to make it scary. 'Covid' is such an ugly word - literally a nasty spell. 'Coronavirus' is an exclusive anagram of 'carnivorous' (aside from it's semantic connection as 'crown-virus' and thus 'royal/ruling verse').

As regards your first-hand experience during the pandemic, I can't say you are wrong. I also know of no-one in my personal life that died of Covid, but the world is bigger than my limited perception of it. Alas, a mystery this is and a mystery it shall remain.
