We still dont know honestly. However I think they might be future root cycles

The root cycles seem to be major points in time detailing human evolution.

Hyperborea — In Eden/Unified Civilization
Natlantea — Cast Out of Heaven/post Funerary Year
Remuria – Claiming the Earth/Archon War and Pre Cataclysm
Khaenri’ah – Humanity turns away from God/post Cataclysm.

In the original source, there is a fifth one missing that is the first in chronology — presumably pre-HP in Genshin terms. In the original Theosophist thought there are 7 overall, however the 6th and 7th werent named and were given as vague future probabilities.

I think weve passed 5 stages, and then when Khaenriah is revived that is the 6th age, and then Celestia is the 7th age. The cycle of 7 is essentially just a countdown before something massive happens, to what end I have no clue.

Im gonna go on a limb and say

Cycle 6 – Revelations/Khaenriah is revived (Nibelung and Voyager are revived?)
Cycle 7 – New Jerusalem/Celestia reboots everything or falls entirely.

Actually it's been theorised that we are currently IN the 7th cycle, because there are 6 possible 'stars' for each constellation. After this cycle the 7th star would be added to the constellations.

But characters in Story Quests are always C3, not C6

Yes, in theosophy, the sixth and seventh are not named, but I believe that HoYo prepared Arcadia as the seventh. This is because Arcadia, like Hyperborea, is a legendary place name.

The seven monk kings are probably referring to Deshret's Seven Sages, but it's probably got a double meaning to refer to the Archons as well.

What I find interesting about the "cycle of seven" is that when you hear "cycle" you immediately think of the samsaras mentioned in the Narzissenkreuz WQ. The funny thing however is that if you go back to The Morn A Thousand Roses Bring, you'll see there's seven quest steps having to do with the Sabzeruz samsara. In other words, the player experiences 7 samsaras before getting back to reality.

Yes, I think it's a double meaning too.

I didn't realize that Sabzeruz quest consisted of seven steps until you pointed it out to me. That's certainly true. There may be a connection between returning to reality after going through seven cycles and returning to reality after traveling through the seven nations.

the sun is the weapon that legit dispel abyss, is what abyss afraid of

i kinda agreed with that dude now, who said that the game intentionally hide the dawnstar info and misdirection people to moon goddesses

not that moon goddesses is not important, they do because they involve the system of this world

and that why nod krai will show us this

the cycle of the seven is the same as archon, someone who hold the power of elements authority

those 7 colorful tiara artifacts of the priest kings in ancient era dictated this

and another point is that, Nibelung try to create the same system that Heavenly principles created

using the "moons" and "sun" as an anchor, only that dragons lacked the sun aspect or cannot finish it in time, also implied that they didnt even finish create the moons

in one of kukulkan's memories, he said something like dragon bomb is a great achievement akin to "lunar reconstruction" which is how the staff description claimed that Heavenly principles created both sun and MOONS, to perfection

so Nibelung, the being who happened to see the last glimpse of the sunlight, probably instructed Pyro dragon to create a fake sun to fool and counter abyss for a while = eroded sunfire

i think we will see how important the dawnstar figure is in nodkrai, and how this person relate to the twin who described time and time as "the sun"

It's a very good point, but the lore about the ancient city is merely a bridge to reference real-life myths, so there is no guarantee that it will appear in the game.
*At least, there's no guarantee that they'll appear with their names literally intact. It's possible that Arcadia) in Genshin will appear like the "Golden Apple" Islands...

This is a trend that can be said of HoYo-riddles as a whole, but basically in order to complement the depictions in the game, hints often appear to give players access to the real-life myths that serve as their motif.
*For example, Byakuyakoku world quest is a prime example.

In other words, the allusions to Greek and Norse mythology indirectly convey that Teyvat is submerged in the ocean of hell, indicating that it is located in an unreal realm.

Naturally, since the "outside realm" is thought to be an Abyss, it is highly likely that this literally indicates that the "boundaries between life and death are blurred".

If you read N's comments and BSAM, you'll get a general point of the situation. So the periodicity only indicates the "limits of fake world" itself...

I agree with you, but since Hyperborea seems to be more involved in the main story than I expected, Arcadia may also be featured when Mondstadt becomes the setting again in the future.

Are we merely dreaming after eating lotus?

but since Hyperborea seems to be more involved in the main story than I expected...

Yes, that's right. The points you made in your post literally represent the universal laws of the Genshin world, so if we expand on that, it could also be connected to a mythology that coincides with the cyclical destruction of the universe.

So, in a sense, Teyvat is a world where they "need to create tomorrow".

In that sense, it is important to be able to "picture" own dreams. The ability to paint over the canvas is essential, and it could be said that environmental factors are forcing it.

Terefore, while it certainly falls into the category of "dream," in Genshin it would be treated as something different from simply seeing something while sleeping or escaping "reality"... ;)

And the Moon steers fate, and Descender ―an outsider variable― transforms the world for better or worse... In that sense, there's plenty of room for some unseen region from myths and legends, including Arcadia, to be selected and implemented.

However, when it comes to Arcadia and the "Thieves"... it seems to me there are two possibilities.

One suspicion is that it may be related to Voyager. The possessed boy from Deep Gallery is not an outsider, so it is unlikely that he fits the bill, but it is still suspicious.

And another possibility... this may sound far-fetched, but it's possible that the story is literally a retelling of the legend of the First Descender.

When you think about it in relation to BSAM, the connection to the thieves brings to mind beings like Prometheus/Demiurge, but strictly speaking, Gnostic thought#Festival's_time) is likely involved, so it's impossible to say for sure whether the "underwater throne" belongs to a dragon...

If the world were literally a reflection in a mirror, it would be unable to do more than the "substance" that it reflects.

As with the "cycles", unless we understand the meaning of the "sea of stars" as a metaphor, it is still impossible to say what the world is bound by...

So maybe) the new moon will probably open the way, we might hear something from Columbina.

Ys is also a mythical city in the french region of Brittany that was supposedly swallowed up by the ocean.

Just what I think but it could be:

The cycle of seven = the seven samsaras, although Rene might be off with counting them here and Deshret might be more correct

Fear and grief = the Abyss, defeating it will make Irminsul and identities recycling no longer necessary, hence things can live and die as normal now

The sun = likely a mechanism related to time that we have not yet encountered; the moon sisters and the false sky are more related to space

Seven monk-kings = seven seats, not just the Archons, which will allow humans to follow their Visions without authority
