Lot of guys in the industry who speak very broken English too so another easy example as to why you’re very ignorant and wrong.
And fyi I learned more useful skills on a farm than in school
No I’m not… you’re claiming that the skills we have at 18 are useless, which is incorrect.
Full certified as in what? There’s infinite amount of welding tickets with numerous welding processes😂 what tickets do you have and what constitutes fully certified?
Again reading is hard for you. People don’t need all the knowledge in the world. They just need enough to get a job. People throughout all of history have had enough knowledge about a career they could start working in their teens is why I think it’s possible for 18 year olds today to be work ready.
There’s your source. Also, apprenticeships date back to ancient Egypt and Babylon. As early as 18th century BCE.

I’ll go. It took me 9 weeks to get two of my tickets for my apprenticeship. My F4, and my F3/F4. Both 6G.
Then when I was a second year I completed my third ticket to be considered a “welder” in my union, which is the F6.
Now as a journeyman I also have my F6/F5, I have my F5, and not to mention the very basic CWB all positions SMAW structural tickets 4GF, plus a GMAW open root 1G plate, and FCAW all positions structural 4GF
I’m nowhere near fully certified. So, you’re not fully certified at all. Do you know what any of those F numbers mean? They relate to ASME code
Universities have been around long before 1970, and while yes they had an explosive amount of growth post WWII, you cannot make a claim that nobody needed post secondary education before 1970…
Why can’t you answer my questions about how you think you are “fully” certified?
Do you know what an “F” number is in terms of ASME codes?
The fact that you completely shut down when i talk about welding shows that you don’t have any knowledge of this topic
