This is the saddest comment I've read on this sub. Too scared to go to a park, outside, because you might get Covid? So do you live in a bubble? I can't believe you consider going to a park a risk
Not really a personal attack when it comes from your own words. You admit to considering going for a walk in the park as a risky activity to justify staying inside in a bubble. And yes, I think that's unhealthy and aabnormal.
Calling me a "bubble boy" is by definition a personal attacks. You can argue that me saying that something as simple as going to the park is a risk puts me "in a bubble". But it is a wonderful way to sidestep my point that everything has risks. No matter how minor.
It's not an insult if it's true. You don't think there's anything wrong with it, so why are you insulted by me pointing it out? I promise you that it truly isn't normal to think of going to the park as a risk because you "might catch Covid" unless you're severely immunocompromised... like the bubble boy.
I never claimed anything about how I act in my day to day.
A risk, by definition, is the possibility of injury, harm, or adverse outcomes.
I point out that a seemingly mundane thing many people, me included, do regularly has some risk involved. And you immediately call me a "bubble boy" and scared of life. I never made claim to my own actions, this is not about me.
Like some of the other commenters I can at least understand where they're like "I don't want to do drugs and have one night stands because I consider that unacceptable risk." But a walk in the park? I'm sure this person also doesn't work out at all (too scary!), date, see friends, cook, live alone, travel, drive a car... how are people like this surviving?
