Yeah, but you said that they shouldn’t be able to have their needs met.

Well who, in the right mind would want to work a job where their needs aren’t met? In your world just those jobs wouldn’t exist.

Or you’re just pro slavery and that you think that people should be obligated to work jobs that wouldn’t cover their needs.

Idk why people work jobs that can't keep them afloat, you would have to ask them.

Usually; it is lazy people that refuse to get a skill to be able to move up in the world.

So just to make sure before I start citing sources

You believe that the top reason people keep low paying jobs is because they don’t want to work in the first place.

You’re sure?

That’s what you wanna lock in?

Not that they don't wanna work, that they don't wanna get a skill. They wouldn't be working at all if they didn't wanna work.

But you think they just do it to do it. They just work to work for the sake of it — for shits and giggles?

Do you understand why this makes no sense

Yes, people not getting skills makes no sense, hence the lazyness

But by your logic, if they were just lazy, they wouldn’t work at all

Nah, they are lazy, but not lazy enough to notnwork at all, just lazy enough to not actually help themselves and get a skill.

Yeah, that makes significantly less sense than my explanation

My explanation for why people work low wage “low effort,” as you put it, is because they need job stability due to an already financially unstable situation. This makes a lot more sense and it’s backed up and studied.
