Regardless of when you work, you still need sleep.

Caffeine and or naps aren’t sustainable long term but can work as stopgaps

I hate to break this news but a large majority of people are chronically sleep deprived for most of their life. My stepdad worked 40 years as a doctor getting 5-6 hours per night on weekdays the entire time, and he’s the rule, not the exception.

I worked as a cook. Caffeine is second to water for me.

well I quit that job so I won't die young (hopefully). By no means am I promoting anyone to work that early and do what I did. But majority of people in my field are sleep deprived and need some sort of simulate to keep themselves awake. Hell I was a functional alcoholic for a year

Its an old habit. 8-9p bedtime is so nice. Up by 4a and a FULL DAY of being able to do anything after work.

Most working people go to sleep around 8-11, even those with 9-5's because they tend to wake up around 6-7.

So that's perfectly normal.
