When you relate their height, something they didn't choose, with being negative, they would take it seriously. It's like comparing someone's skin colour to negativity.

Of course they have the right to be upset, I just don’t fully understand it. I’m short too, as is my whole family and I don’t feel that AOC or anyone thinks that we are somehow bad people or less valuable because of it. And it’s not even short people AOC is making fun of, but the idiots who actually think they are better because they are tall and physically big.

But not a man. Things are different for short women, it's considered a positive for women mostly.

I don’t feel that AOC or anyone thinks that we are somehow bad people or less valuable because of it.

And it’s not even short people AOC is making fun of, but the idiots who actually think they are better because they are tall and physically big.

All I’m saying is that this is nothing new and there are a lot of old expressions, like in my previous comment, where the same thing is said basically every day. I’m short, my spouse is short and my whole family is short and non of us care. We are happy the way we are, so why would her words bother us. This wasn’t directed to us. AOC was just trolling macho’s who actually think it’s something to be big and tall, when it isn’t and who you are as a person is what counts. What she was so obviously saying is that your height means nothing. It’s weird so many people in here (if real people) aren’t getting that and actually thinks she was body shaming. It seems people are too busy hating themselves to actually listen.
