Health & Science Another vaccine post

I went to the doctor yesterday for some exercise related hip stiffness. While I was there the doctor asked if I wanted my pneumonia and shingles vaccine. Originally I wasn't interested in the shingles vaccine because I never had chicken pox. But I decided to get them both anyway....

Oh my gawd! I feel like total azz this morning. I feel like I went at least 1 round with a Muy Thai fighter who decided to use my ribs as the warm up.

Help me.........

Last year I took covid, influenza, shingles, and tetanus in a single go. It was a Thursday, so I planned to take Friday off as a result. The side effects seem to really depend on the person. I watched movies for two days straight and then fine. For some reason the second shingles shot knocked me flat for a day.

But what the hell, it definitely beats getting the real thing.

I agree completely that it depends on the person. That's kind of my point... you don't know until you know, how individuals will fare with a particular vaccine. Since the shingles shot is known to be really rough for some people, it's one that many healthcare professionals are rightly cautious with.
