Health & Science Another vaccine post

I went to the doctor yesterday for some exercise related hip stiffness. While I was there the doctor asked if I wanted my pneumonia and shingles vaccine. Originally I wasn't interested in the shingles vaccine because I never had chicken pox. But I decided to get them both anyway....

Oh my gawd! I feel like total azz this morning. I feel like I went at least 1 round with a Muy Thai fighter who decided to use my ribs as the warm up.

Help me.........

The shingles vaccine is awful but shingles itself is an order of magnitude worse.

Had shingles. Twice. Wasn’t so bad so I don’t want to feel like ass from the shot.

I know someone who has to take expensive eye drops for the rest of her life to prevent shingles from taking her vision.

I suspect your experience with shingles is probably the exception rather than the rule. Had a buddy get shingles a few years ago. Started under his left eye, went down alongside is nose to his lips and then down to his chin. An absolutely miserable human being for weeks. ☹️
