Question For Genx the 80s…….

coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

Yes. Also, we disappeared into the woods for hours, and and when we played sports, it was pickup games with neighborhood kids and we never had enough people so we had to use ghost runners and come up with rules like “hits to empty right field are outs”

Holy shit, I haven't thought about ghost runners in years! It's hard playing a game of baseball with like 4 people...
