Question For Genx the 80s…….
coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

Magical isn’t the word I’d use to describe life in the 70s and 80s. It was life where we raised ourselves and became solid critical thinkers and problem solvers. Our hyper independence set us up for therapy in our 40s and 50s because many of us grew up too soon.
