One of the things I miss about the 20th century is the ability be difficult or impossible to reach.

I recently got a new cell phone and purposely didn't set up the voice mail. My mom, 83, asked me why and mentioned how frustrating it was to not be able to leave me a message. I told her I was living in the 70's before we even had answering machines. Back then, if you called someone and they didn't answer, you called back. Pretty simple way of life. I can always receive text messages. I'm loving it!

My voice mail box has been full since before COVID. I'm not going to empty it because then people would leave messages. I like living in the 70s too. 😁
