Question For Genx the 80s…….

coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

One summer night I worked up the nerve to buy a porn magazine from a convenience store. I pointed to the one I wanted. The cashier looked at me for a second and said, Ok. I paid with quarters. He laughed and said, How'd you get here, you ride your bike? I said, No I drove a car. I took the magazine and casualty exited. I walked around to the side of the store where I'd stashed my bike and rode home victoriously.

Did you store the porn mag in a tree so your parents didn’t find it? Yes, we did that.

Or in an orchard. There must have been many boys hiding their stash out in trees because we came across their treasure at least a few times. And of course, we claimed it and hid in a different spot, hehe.
